Izuku was nervous as he received death glares from every member of class A. With good reason, as the body he used... Shoto's... basically a traitor to everything they stood for... and based on Momo's reaction, something far closer to the heartstrings. To be extremely frank, Izuku had not intended on seeing them again, nevermind while in Shoto Todoroki's body. Glancing to his mother, he asked. "Uh... should I explain my "condition" to them?"
Isa sighed, rubbing her forehead with annoyance. "It's probably time, anyway. Preparations are complete, and transfer is ready when you are. Just know we don't have a lot of time."
"Good."
They were confused. Completely understandable, especially considering how they were talking. So, taking them away from the majority of refugees, he kept his voice low, but loud enough for them to comprehend. "Sorry about the confusion. It's been a while." He held up the pendant, letting them see it. "I didn't think you'd recognize this so quickly. To be honest, if anyone knew what it really was, they'd never accept it."
Moving away from the other refugees, the students and their families were wary. Aizawa more so, asking him directly. "Well, what is it, Todoroki?"
"That's the thing. My name is Izuku..."
The kids all recognized the name, asking at once with surprise. "Midoriya?!" The adults, save Aizawa, didn't understand, while he merely narrowed his eyes with suspicion at the convenient story.
However, Izuku's reaction was a bit harsher than he meant to be. "Do not say that name."
"Why?" Bakugo asked, confused. Midoriya was his mother's name. A good thing, in other words.
Glaring at him, he stated with certainty of new information. Information that made all the hero related people understand with sympathy. "That was the pseudonym of a villain who abandoned my family. I am not keeping that name." Standing tall, he stated with confidence: "My full name now is Izuku Rabenherz."
The explosive blond wasn't buying it. Narrowing his eyes, he demanded proof. After all, he was claiming to be a dead man. While the others contemplated Izuku's quirk... he asked, "What's something that Izuku would know?"
Rolling his eyes, he gave the following, enough to make even Bakugo pause. "Well, I could go on a long list of everything you used to say to me, Bakugo. Or should I call you Kacchan, like I used to? Or... would you like me to mention... 'swan dive' for everyone to hear?"
That made him freeze, before he violently let go of him. "Tsk. It's him." Bakugo's parents saw the reaction, and glanced between each other with worry. That was clearly blackmail, but there was no context... well, no stated context. What it implied was another matter entirely.
"Thank you for letting me go." He turned to Isa, asking her directly with hope. "Is my body healed?"
Finally ready to get her son back in full force, she smiled warmly, catching everyone who knew her off guard. "Yes. It has been fully healed for a week."
Shaking a bit, he stated something that disturbed their current audience, "Good. I'd like to get back into my own skin. This one always feels too baggy."
Interrupting the two of them, Ochako asked, voice quivering a bit. "Uh... sorry to interrupt... but what about Todoroki himself?"
Izuku explained, showing the identifying pendant, and gave his words, causing their unease to turn into horror at what he essentially did to another kid, all the while ignoring their expressions. "Well, my soul is bound to the pendant, so whoever wears it has theirs erased. Shoto Todoroki has been effectively dead for weeks. This body will be killed, and I'll be back in my own with my quirk again..."
Momo, shocked, waved in the air a moment, as if to clear confusion physically from the room as if it were mere fog. "Wait wait... if the pendant is not your quirk, then what is it?"
Ignoring or not understanding the actual question, he answered the one about his quirk, explaining how his body is safe from the lethal damage. "It's called Soul Guard. My body protects itself from any unnatural lethal injury. Does not stop torture or natural causes."
"That's... interesting." Momo didn't know what to make of that information. Unbeknownst to the others, Bakugo paled even more, if such a thing was possible at this point.
