"Tally-ho!"

Wyatt trailed behind her group of friends with the nozzle and hose that would connect to the beer keg that JJ and John B were carrying. Pope had the red SOLO cups, and Kie had the pump.

The Pogues were throwing a kegger.

JJ took the hose and pump from his friends, setting up the keg and testing it out. Wyatt laughed as he sprayed beer all over JB's face, causing him to complain about "beer up his nose."

Then, it was time for drinks.

Wyatt downed her first beer pretty quickly, grabbing another every once in a while as more people started showing up.

You can't understand the Outer Banks without understanding the Boneyard. It's kinda like a three-layer burrito.

There's the Pogues and their friends, the working class derelicts from the Cut. Then, there were the Kooks, the rich second-homers. They were mostly from pouncy-ass boarding schools, just rich trustafarian posers. The Pogue's natural enemies.

And then, there were the Tourons. Totally clueless. There for a week on vacation with their parents. Chum for the sharks.

"You ready?"

Wyatt hooked her arm around JJ's, both with a beer in hand and kids circling them shouting, "chug! Chug! Chug!"

"Ready to leave your ass in the dust."

"In your dreams," JJ smiled at the girl before someone started counting down.

"Three! Two! One! Go!"

Immediately, both Wyatt and JJ chugged their beers as fast as they could. Wyatt threw her empty cup to the ground a few seconds before her best friend, who groaned upon seeing he lost.

"I told you, you're never gonna beat me," Wyatt smirked at him as she high-fived a few of her friends and some Tourons that watched.

"Hey, I did that one time," he countered, pointing at the girl, who only shook her head.
