Kiara was pacing the porch of the Château after their big discovery at the Crain house. The Pogues plus Sarah Cameron were seated around her, watching as she outwardly refused to work with the Kook.
"You brought her here? So what, she's in on this now?"
Pope shrugged when she looked at her friends.
"Look, all I care about is her cut comes out of your share," JJ pointed to Sarah, then to John B.
Kie looked pointedly at Wyatt, the only person yet to answer.
"Uh," she shrugged nervously, looking down to avoid both girls' eyes. "I don't know."
"You know, I don't remember taking a vote," Kie continued angrily. "This is our thing. A Pogue thing."
"I gotta say, I'm just a tad uncomfortable with all of this," Pope added.
"Thank you!"
"When are you not uncomfortable?" John B asked the boy.
"I dunno, I rode here on the back of JJ's bike pretty comfortably."
JJ cocked his head. "It's true. Most relaxed I've ever seen him."
John B shook his head. "That's cute, guys."
"You know we were all extremely comfortable until you brought her," Kie glared between JB and Sarah.
"It does feel a little bit like an intrusion," Wyatt muttered, trying not to be heard.
"Thank you!" Kie motioned to her.
"Wow," Sarah scoffed.
"No, like," Wyatt sighed. "Nothing against Sarah. It's just that John B didn't ask us first, you know?"
"Which is why I said we should've at least had a vote," Kie said.
"Stop talking about me like I'm not here," Sarah snapped.
