I still remember her very clearly. The way her hair smelled, what her voice sounds like. How she loved flowers and dancing, her favorite dresses and songs. Even her habit of whistling when she was in a good mood.
When I lost her.....I felt like I lost a piece of myself. One that...could never be found.

W-What is going on? Why are there so many guards here?
The sound of thunder echoing through the palace startled me and somehow the air started to become colder.
It was a late night, but I just couldn't fall asleep. Blaming the chaotic weather for it, I went out to go find my mother.
As I approached the many men that protected us, one of them noticed me rather quickly. When our eyes locked I sensed panic flashing before his eyes.
''Little lord....you should be in bed.'' He was quick to run up to me, his figure blocking my view.
''I can't sleep.'' He was quick to lift me off the ground letting me rest on his muscular pair of arms.
''You should try, otherwise, you will miss your early lessons tomorrow.''
''Ludin....Where is my mother?'' This time I did feel my eyes turn heavy as a yawn escaped my mouth. Ludin has been around here ever since I was born. A palace guard, he is one of my favorites.
''Oh dear god! S-She....She is not breathing anymore!''
Is that....our nurse.
Ludin turned himself around due to the commotion, allowing me to see what was going on as well. At that moment I could feel his muscles tense up under me, while my breath stopped.
''M-Mom?'' I slowly whispered under my breath.
It was my mother laying on the floor, with everyone around her. The nurse started to cry while the palace guards lowered their heads.
''M-Mom....'' Once again I called for her yet no reply.
Just then more people came running the halls, but my attention stayed focused on my mother laying there. Her beautiful brown locks were covering her face.....her favorite blue dress was stained with red.
''L-Ludin is i-''
Another guard approached us but before he could finish Ludin already lifted me higher turning me away from the scene.
''Take the prince to his chambers.'' His order was serious and the look on his face scared me.
What? No...My mother....she is hurt.
''What? No! Mom..Mom is hur-''
''Go now.'' He didn't even look at me as the guard nodded and took a firm grip on me.
''No! Let go off me!'' I was quick to struggle but against someone ten times my size, it was to no avail.
The only thing I could do was cry, kick and scream as my vision became smaller. With every step the guard took, everything became clearer.
She isn't just hurt...She is...already dead.
I was taken to my chambers that day with a guard, keeping watch on me. All I could do was lay frozen in bed trying to surpass my cries, my anger as the palace bells started to rage through the halls. It turned into chaos within these walls as the news of the queen her passing spread like wildfire.
It was murder....it was confirmed yet even to this day the culprit has never been found.
