''I'm truly sorry, for the past mistake I have made.'' I completely forgot about Pihari her presence with me. I felt a bit embarrassed knowing that she had witnessed my little quarrel with Jimin. She huffed harshly seating herself next to me, no matter how I looked at it she didn't seem to be in great health.
''May I ask you something?'' I asked. She smiled gesturing for me to speak.
''Couldn't you free yourself with magic?'' She avoided my eyes and a grim expression washed over her face. I felt bad for asking.
''D-Don't get me wrong, it's just. Having the ability to lock someone's memories made me think you're truly a powerful person.''
''I was a powerful person indeed,'' Pihari spoke.
''But magic comes with a great cost. To us, it's like our life source, it's something precious. As I grew older I became weaker. When captured....the mage Laguna that child had me chained with magical suppressing chains. I held no power in that room.'' It seemed there was something else she wasn't telling me.
''How is your magic now?'' I asked. She smiled weakly her thin hand reaching for mine. Her skin was cold and the veins running through her hands were a deep blue color.
''Laguna was a young mage...a powerful one. She would be capable of many great things but instead turned to the darker side of magic. She cast a forbidden spell on that room, one that allowed draining the magical energy of every living organism or even objects that sat between those walls.''
Draining Pihari her magical energy? When I was inside that room I didn't feel anything. To me, it was just like a regular cell, so it truly is only noticeable to those who possess magical energy.
''It's like our life source.''
''T-Then....''
''I have been captured for a long time. Right now I'm not that much different from you. The abilities I was capable of, the magical energy that used to surge through my pulse is no longer that strong. I guess it's only what I deserve, for turning towards the dark arts in my younger years.''
''I'm sorry.'' I didn't know what to say. Once again I held no power to help, no knowledge.
''There is no need, my child.''

I could feel my throat burn and whenever I opened my mouth my jaw wavered. Everyone was gathered here, and they wanted answers. Edda, Turolt his wife, and many other great men who fought this battle together with us. The people that gathered with us at the tavern, that day ended together with joy. Right now they are staring as if we betrayed them.
''Just as promised we brought an end to this battle. Your homes are truly yours again, you are free people and I'm wishing the peaceful days of prosperity you guys had will come washing again soon.'' There were no smiling faces.
''I know that we have lost people. Good, innocent people, and that the days of mourning and grief shall continue. Tonight we shall hold a proper burying, sending our loved ones back to our gods.''
''We are thankful your highness. Truly we wouldn't be able to have done this without you. Although we grieve...we are also delighted. Being able to live forth in peace and harmony, giving our children a safe place to grow up in. Home to our wives and elders.'' Turolt his low voice was heard over the crashing waves. He stood from his spot, his wife locking his arm with his.
''Forgive me, but I have to as-''
''It's true.'' I expected this question to come. As I interrupted him his eyes widened and in silence, he nodded. The many others started to gasp and things started to become noisy, having people whispering among themselves.
