''Y/N there is one more thing...about the villag-''

''They want to have me killed?'' She asked rather calmly while rising from the ground. I gathered up my belongings placing them hastily back in my satchel before joining her side.

''We promised that you wouldn't be setting foot on their grounds again. You have to remain on the ship before we continue our departure.'' She simply nodded at my explanation before lifting the hood of my robe, carefully resting it on top of her head.

''I understand.'' She faced my old steps engraved in the dirt but before she could walk off I already stopped her. It didn't feel right.

''Hey, this will pass. It is you who brought victory upon this battle.'' Though people will gladly discuss the up bring of achieving this victory.

''And it is I who killed innocents.'' The strength in my fingers slipped away allowing her to continue her march. In silence, we trailed our way back through the forest. I was always two steps behind her. When the many voices of the people were heard she turned to me.

''I shall head to the ship.'' I didn't want her to be alone right now. I wanted to hear more, and discover what she is thinking about right now. I want to help her ease her thoughts, but I am well aware that what she needs right now is space. To be alone...think and perhaps become angry or sad. Exploit herself in emotions on her own so she can give them a place afterward.

My only fear is that at the end of it all, she will decide to leave me.

I simply nodded and before I knew it she had disappeared from my sight. Allowing us to part ways.

It was a relief to see that people were able to smile, dance, drink, and feast after parting with their loved ones. They would have wanted them to celebrate this victory is what they told me.

I quietly limped my way through the dark streets before arriving at one of the main inns. Entering I got greeted with many bows and smiling faces.

''Should we prepare you a bath, my lady?'' I kindly refused, turning my attention to the owner.

''Is he still sleeping?''

''He has awoken not too long ago. The upper room at the far left of the hall.'' I thanked her dragging myself up the creaking stairs. We have gained victory today, but it didn't come without a cost. I was fortunate to have gotten away with a minor injury to the head and a fracture in my leg. When we gathered at the longhouse earlier today, it was clear to see that Jungkook was breaking out in a feverish sweat. His face still remained pale even after the multiple doctors tended to his wounds. He was injured badly.

I didn't bother to knock, once I entered it was just him in the room. Lying on a bed covered with fur blankets and pillows to keep him warm, beside his bed an empty bowl that was filled with a warm meal moments ago.

''My love.'' He greeted forcing a painful smile on his face. I sat next to his figure taking in his appearance. He just needs a lot of rest and replenishment of his strength in order to heal properly.

''How are you feeling?'' I couldn't help but stroke his head down to his face. He leaned into my hand seeking more of its warmth with a smile.

''Never felt better.'' A joke that could make both of us laugh.

''How are the others?''

''They are fine. Jimin is bedridden like you, the others are lending a hand treating others and rebuilding the village.'' He simply nodded closing his eyes with a deep long sigh.
