Burying the dead reminded me of Sheria. The crying sobs and mourning yells made me picture Y/N once more. I looked down at my satchel patting its side before slipping away from the crowd. The night has come, a thousand stars illuminated above us, accompanied by a full moon.
I retraced my steps, keeping a close eye on the trees surrounding me. I reached an open space, a large coast redwood in front of me scorching into the skies. With a familiar glistening rock at its feet. It helps me keep track of where I am, and I knew I had to take a turn to the east.
Soon that magical-like lake came into my sight and as I reached closer, Y/N her figure appeared. Seated at the riverbank, her feet cooled themselves along with the soft stream. Eyeing her back pained me, the blood stains that seeped through her shirt, the holes and cuts in it. She is mourning her loss, probably confused by her memories and in pain. All I can think about is that the villagers don't want Y/N near them.
All this time I keep telling her she isn't a monster. She isn't a beast or a bad person. People shouldn't fear her. Now I have to take that trust I gave her away. Explaining that she can't come into town and should stay on the ship till we depart.
Even if we depart....where will we go? The more I think about it the more foolish I feel. Perhaps if I talk with my father...
No.
''Y/N.'' As I got lost in my thoughts it seemed my presence was already given away. I showed her a small smile but instead, she turned back toward the lake. She probably don't even want me here in the first place, but even so, I dared to sit next to her.
''How are you feeling?''
''I...don't know.'' I actually didn't expect her to reply but her answer made me at a loss for words. I didn't know how to comfort her, and it made my nerves run crazy. So instead I tried to take her mind off things.
''I brought you some food,'' I spoke. From my satchel, I revealed a cloth binding some fruits together with the people their well-known steam buns.
''Taehyung.'' She called.
''Mmm?'' I was joyous to see her take a bite from the bun enjoying the chewy texture and sweet taste.
''Those dreams..''
''Why don't you eat first then we talk,'' I answered. The thought of explaining everything to her troubled me. I didn't want to make her hate me, or hate Pihari for what she did. After all....this happened because of us. But yet another part of me wanted this to be over. I wanted everything to be clear between us, to sort out these complicated feelings.
Perhaps there is even a trivial chance that some of the feelings she held for me were real and true.
''Does it taste good?'' My eyes were locked on her face, the small hint of joy behind her eyes as she ate, made me feel somewhat at ease.
''It's.....sweet.'' Recalling correctly Y/N never was fond of sweet stuff but before I could exchange it with fruit instead she took another bite.
''I..like it,'' She said.

''Your injuries...I brought some supplies to take care of it.'' I wondered if she found me suspicious for not taking her back to the town instead. But it seemed I was overthinking as she never once questioned my actions.
''I also brought a new linen shirt to change into.'' Sneakily searching my way around I could only find a fresh one laid out for me. So I took that one with me.
