Minjae

None of us has seen Y/N since that day. She has spent her days locked away in one of the cabins on the ship and refused to show her face. Occasionally the kitchen mates would leave her meals at her door but even then only when they completely exited the hall would she open her door.

The rebuild went steady and fast. The air around us turned clean again and soft peaceful laughter echoed through the streets daily. Although today...there were more angry shouts for Zurin had awoken from his injured state.

He laughed almost trying to spit at my face while his skin still remained pale.

''I never should have trusted a human. I should have just killed you!'' He grunted in anger trying to release himself from the thick icy chains around his ankles and wrists.

Yoongi was with me staying quiet in the corner, but his eyes never left Zurin his movements.

''They deserve to have a saying in this. You killed their family members....their loved ones. I'm sorry but we will hold a trial accordingly,'' I spoke.

''Trial? The outcome is already clear, just kill me already.'' He sighed.

A part of me did feel guilty for betraying my promise. But many voices of complaint started to rise about the fact that we were nursing Zurin back to health. I get it...he killed many of their people...if I was them I would have wanted to see him punished as well.

But if it wasn't for Zurin...Jungkook and I wouldn't be here right now.

''Prince Taehyung will be the judge of your crimes. He is a merciful man perhaps he shall let you live.'' Yoongi spoke from his corner. It seemed his comment made Zurin his eyes only bulge out with more rage.

He didn't seek mercy...just simply revenge on those who betrayed him. Later that day the trial took place out on the main square. The number of people present was tremendous, everyone gathered.

Taehyung was seated beside him was Turolt who has regained his position as the town's chieftain. On the other side Edda, who held a lot of respect in this town despite being a simple tavern owner. Turolt has appointed her as a second in command.

Zurin his faith laid in their hands.

I found myself a spot accompanied by Yoongi. The both of us watched in silence as Zurin got dragged to the open space in the middle, many curses were thrown at his head and the main court became restless.

''Silence!'' Edda was known for her loud voice and being able to silence the people with one of her roars. She cleared her throat before straightening her posture and gesturing for Taehyung to speak.

''Please everyone I must ask you to remain calm. We are gathered here today for the trial of Zurin Akkson.'' He spoke. Zurin his name alone was making it hard for the people to not start shouting from anger.

''Who is charged with the crime of murder.'' This statement alone made many around us tear up, thinking back about the days he stripped them away from their family members.

Taehyung his eyes shifted from the crowd to Zurin his, it was a cold stare one I haven't seen on him even once.

''I'm taking it you don't deny these charges?'' He asked. Zurin scoffed followed by a deep breath, his head was held down staring at the chains around his wrists.

''Is there any use in denying it? It's correct! I am guilty!'' Yoongi and I both exchanged some glances. He wasn't seeking a way out of death....rather he was getting frustrated with waiting for it to arrive. It made him more anxious.
