Ch 5: A Reunion of Old Foes

Stars started to shine accompanied by, dark clouds decorating the almost black sky. It felt like I was lying here for days, while in reality, it was a couple of hours as I watched the clear light blue sky change colors. 

I couldn't sleep, couldn't even close my eyes for a moment, they stayed fixed on the view in my room. All I could see was sky and sea, yet I merely wished to lay eyes on Y/N.

Does she....not think of me? Doesn't she know that I'm worried like crazy? Is she even planning on retrieving during this dark night?

Does she...even care about my feelings?

My body automatically reacted to the door to my room practically being slammed open. I was surprised to lock eyes with Minjae. 

What happened?

She didn't need words, her eyes were big and it seemed she was still processing something in shock. It was enough to make me know that....something big has happened for her to alarm me. 

Did we get attacked? No, I don't hear any fighting going on. Did we perha-

''You need to join us on the upper deck.'' She swallowed harshly while finally straightening her pose, yet her eyes still remained widened.

''What has happened?'' While questioning her I already got off the bed, curiosity was ready to explode as I wanted to know what is going on. 

''Taehyung...You should...prepare yourself.''

I was questioning a lot of what Minjae said about preparing myself, but now that I was introduced to the situation I knew what she meant, and being eye to eye with her right now I was at a loss of words.

The woman who I have only heard stories of smiled as she gently kneeled down bowing her head. 

''It's an absolute pleasure to meet you my grace, Y/N has told me a lot about you.'' The fact that she spoke my name triggered something within me. 

She beautifully presented her hand to me, asking me for permission to press mine against her forehead but everything in my body told me that...I didn't want anything to do with her right now.

''There is no need, you may rise.'' I think she was a bit taken aback by my words as she looked up at me and hesitated for a moment to get back up. 

We were surrounded by everyone. Jungkook and Jimin seemed the most curious of all as they were constantly eyeing her.

''Forgive my rudeness I didn't even properly introduce myself.'' Once again she bowed this time directed to everyone around us as well.

''I'm Sheria Callea an old friend of Y/N.'' Hearing her confirm her name felt like a rock landing on my shoulders. I have heard a great deal about Sheria.....to the point that I know she is an extremely important person to Y/N. I should be happy, delighted even that the dear friend Y/N treasured is alive and well, instead of dead as she thought. Yet all I could think about was how.....I noticed Y/N her eyes on her ever since they got here.

''I have heard many great things about you.'' I didn't try to sound bitter but Minjae her side eye was enough to let me know that it was slightly showing. 

''One of those things was....that you died years ago, back in Ozryn.'' The smile that was plastered on her face faded before slightly looking back at Y/N.

''I was severally injured, during the outbreak, I couldn't continue and told Y/N to leave me behind. I was convinced I wouldn't make it anymore, my days would have come to an end but the gods granted me mercy and I was saved your grace.'' Everyone listened closely to her story but the fact that many ears were prying into this got on my nerves.
