Y/N
If I stay any longer, I might end up staying here. My ears started to heat up from embarrassment knowing I was longing to stay with Taehyung as well. With force, I straightened my legs helping myself up to get back to my horse, but the dangling layers of fabric at my feet made me lose my balance.
''Be careful.'' Taehyung his sudden touch made me flinch for a moment causing me to lose focus. With a quiet thud, we both fell over his body softening the impact for me. I quickly seated myself up pulling him with me.
''S-Sorry.'' What is wrong with me?
''It's okay.'' He chuckled at my clumsiness in a dress but I noticed how his hands were keeping me in place. Not allowing me to move away from him. My weight on his lap and his heavy breaths against my face were making me uncomfortable.
Am I uncomfortable? Just nervous...like a human...nervous.
''Why are you being so tense?'' His smile made me relax while he sneakily guided my hands to his shoulders. I let him...right now I didn't feel like leaving either.
''Do you...think about them?'' There was a throbbing feeling in my chest noticing the pain in his eyes when I asked, however, he tried to cover it up with a grin.
''Of course, but I'm not worried if that's what you're wondering. They are strong and have each other. We'll surely meet again soon.'' I couldn't stop blaming myself for taking away Taehyung. I just know that....the way I left leaving things unfinished made some of them feel resentment toward me. That same person who they resent causes Taehyung to make a reckless move.
''Okay, perhaps it's a lie to say I'm completely not worried. Of course, I am...it's the first time I'm apart from them.'' Perhaps I should send him back, or send someone to come get him. Even though that's not what he wants.
''But the thought of us being apart worries me more.'' His face drew closer and his head gradually placed itself on my shoulder.
''Say Y/N....'' Silence fell he didn't continue and stopped. His head started rubbing my shoulder while a groan escaped his lips.
''Sheria is dead, you left Minjae and the others without a proper explanation, we are not bonded as a matter of fact you have lived a completely different life before meeting me or Sheria. And right now some questionable lord wants to use you for a sculpture of his in return for information. It's a lot and it's arduous, I'm sure there is a lot weighing on your mind.'' He pulled back and the words he spoke were harsh. I tried to forget everything that happened, and even though I wasn't able to give it a proper place just pushed it away. But he made sure to remind me, he meant to be hard. The look in his eyes said so, he meant for me to feel hurt by his words.
''So why won't you talk to me?'' I slide my hands away from his shoulders and pushed myself off his lap. Instead, I sat in front of him, right on top of the damp grass. It was difficult to meet his eyes. I remember that day in the tub when he was the first one I told about the memories that came to me like dreams. When we first met Taehyung was the one I counseled when it came to how I felt, what was on my mind, and what I should do. Because I believed he was my master and as his Infernal I didn't want to hide anything from him.
''Because.....we are not bonded. It's not your job to take care of me.''
''Well, I love you.'' Again that bold confession of his, the more he revealed his feelings the less embarrassed he became. His ears wouldn't turn red like the first time and his eyes would meet mine securely.
''So I want to take care of you.'' he continued.
My eyes stayed fixed on his shoulder, and the memory of how I had stabbed him that day remained vivid. The force I put in it, the painful expression that washed over his face. His blood stained my hands.
