YOU BELONG WITH ME
"JESS!!! JESS!!! KID IF YOU CAN HEAR ME JUST CALL OUT MY NAME AND I'LL FIND YOU!! Son of a bitch!" Hopper cursed as he tried to retrace his steps back and try and find his way to Jess. He screamed when something grabbed him. "Jesus Christ Joyce don't do that to me! Hey Bob."
"Hey Jim."
"Hopper!"
"What?"
"Where's Jess?!"
"I don't know that's what I'm doing I'm looking for her."
"You mean you separated?!!!!"
"IT WAS HER IDEA!!!"
"I DONT CARE IF IT WAS HERS YOU STICK WITH HER!"
"SHE'S NOT FIVE JOYCE!"
"STILL YOU DONT LEAVE HER ALONE IN AN UNKNOWN, DANGEROUS PLACE."
"YOU SOUND LIKE A MOM YOU KNOW THAT?!"
"UGHHH I GIVE UP WITH YOU!!" Joyce groaned as she walked off.
"Joyce where are you going?" Bob called out to her.
"LOOKING FOR JESS, HOPPERS NOT DOING A GOOD JOB OF IT."
Joyce, Bob and Hopper walked through the tunnels calling Jess's name out, Joyce getting more worried by the second. "JESSSSS?!!" Jess screamed.
"Joyce look it's her Walkman." Hopper pointed. They walked slowly forward till Hopper rushed to kneel down pulling out his pocket knife. Joyce gasping at the sight of Jess covered by these living vines giving her horrible flashbacks to last year. Joyce joined Hopper on the floor as she got her own pocket knife out trying to cut Jess free.
"Hopper there's one round her neck." Joyce pointed frantically and Hopper with all his strength managed to pull it off her, making Jess gasp straight into cough as she jolted up Joyce pulling her into her chest as Hopper cut the vine wrapped round her ankles.
"Oh my god Jess are you okay?! Love talk to me."
"I'm okay I'm okay." Jess coughed sighing in relief that she was free as she relaxed in Joyce's touch as Hopper came round the the other side of her cupping her cheek kissing into her hair.
"Don't do that to my kid I thought I lost you."
"Cant get rid of me that easily." She smirked.
"Hey Jess." Bob made a small wave.
"Hey Bob." Jess smiled back. They turned around when a voice started yelling at them to see men in hazard suits telling them to get out.
"Can you stand?" Joyce stood up holding Jess's waist thinking she would need help getting up.
"Yeah." Jess nodded weakly as Joyce kept one arm wrapped round Jess's waist and the other holding the Jess hand as her arm was over Joyce's shoulders.
When they got out of the tunnels they were immediately separated as Joyce needed to go with Will as something had happened to him. Hopper went with Jess in the back of a van that was taking them to the lab like Joyce but they need to check up on Jess, seeing what happened to her.
"I love you so much." Hopper whispered kissing Jess's head.
"Where's this coming from?"
"I thought I lost you back there. I thought I was going have to spend the rest of my life without my annoying sister. I thought that little shit back home was going to have to grow up without a mother figure."
"Hopper it will be ages till I let myself leave you guys."
"Promise me that when we do stupid stuff like this we stay together and I mean physically as well don't go doing that shit you just did and separate."
"She yelled at you didn't she." Jess chuckled.
"Oh proper Mum mode." They both smiled. "You really love her dont you? I thought it was a stupid little high school type of crush but I saw you when she held you that you felt safe. You had that face that you used to make when Mum used to hold you."
"She means too much to me. She's my home like you and that little shit back at home. I feel safe with you three. But its different with her. With El I have to hide feelings sometimes because I don't want to upset her when she sees me upset. With you I can't tell you some things like... women stuff."
"AHHH!" Hopper exclaimed at the words.
"Exactly but with her." Jess sighed as she rest her head on her brothers shoulder. "I feel like I can tell her anything. She's like my little diary. And with you if you want to find something out you have to get it out of me first with her I just blurt everything out and she'll hug me and make me a cup of tea and get me some of my favourite biscuits and chocolate and will just cheer me up or comfort me. She doesn't have to do anything and I fall head over heels for her."
