Mike's pov
Everything was perfect. Will and I were perfect. I was sat with my head between Will's legs (...😏), I was staring up at the TV playing my video game as Will rubbed his hands softly through my hair. As I watched my character on the screen die I let out a loud groan dropping my remote on the floor besides us.
"Okay I'm done." I whispered as I tilted my head up to look at my boyfriend. Will smiled leaning down pecking my lips before reaching for his phone.
"Can we get pizza?" He asked his eyes full of hope as I heard his stomach start to rumble. I let out a small laugh before agreeing.
We moved ourselves back onto the sofa and waited for the pizza to arrive.
"Wanna watch something?" I suggested as Will snuggled up to me. He looked up and gave me a tired nod causing me to smile adoringly at him.
"Okay." I whispered giving the top of his head a small kiss before resting my own head on top of his. I scrolled through Netflix and saw that the new season of 'Never have I ever' had just come out so I clicked play and sat waiting for our pizza. After a few minutes our pizza finally arrived and Will and I ate it in a comfortable silence.
After the pizza we continued to watching the show for a few more episodes before we decided to go up to my bedroom and just cuddle. I could tell Will was tired so I wrapped my arms around him and played with his hair softly until he finally fell asleep. It was still pretty early so I grabbed my phone and scrolled through tiktok for a while until I too eventually drifted off to sleep, my arms still tightly around my Will.
Will and I had been going out for 2 years, the best two years of my life and all though I was only 16 it was safe to say this boy was the love of my life.
About a week later this perfect life soon took a turn for the worse. Will got in an accident and he was in hospital. He was okay, he had no broken bones thank god but he hit his head pretty hard and his mom told me that was something the doctors were keeping him there for. On the outside he seemed fine but doctors just could not tell if him hitting his head had any long term issues.
I wasn't able to see able to see him for a few days but as soon as Joyce called me and told me I could go to the hospital I swear to god I had never jumped out of bed so quickly. I hated not seeing him, it was only a couple of days but not knowing - seeing he was okay worried me.
My mom drove me to the hospital and I almost ran into the hospital. Joyce met me at the entrance and pulled me into a long hug.
"How are you?" She whispered. She looked tired, the bags under her eyes visible yet she still forced a small smile.
"Doing the best I can." I smiled back and asked her how she was. She showed me to Will's room, Jonathan, Will's brother, was sat besides him but once he saw us he stood up and slowly walked back and Joyce walked towards her son.
"Hey Will! Look who came to see you." She softly said looking over at me and I walked forward and gave Will a small wave. He looked so...fragile. His face brightened which caused mine to do the same and I rushed over and gave him the tightest hug. Joyce said a quiet 'I'll leave you two to it' and her a Jonathan left the room.
"How are you feeling?" I worriedly asked scanning Will's face and all over causing him to smile and take my hand in his.
"I missed you." He whispered and I locked eyes with him, tears eyes began to fill with tear which only caused mine to do the same.
