Finn's pov
I had just arrived at the library. It's like my 3rd time here this week but what can I say, I'm a quick reader. I had 2 books to return, 'Girl in pieces' and 'it ends with us.'
"Hey Tracy!" I smiled over the front desk placing my books on the counter. Tracy turned and her face lit up. She wasn't one of those old and strict librarians you seen on TV. She was young and sweet and always ready to talk.
"Back again?" She softly laughed, her friendly smile brightening the room. I laughed back in reply as I watched her study the books I had brought back.
"Which ones your favorite?" She winked,
"Hmm.." I trailed off into thought. Both books were amazing, I was gripped to them both but,
"It has to be it ends with us!" I answered causing Trace to nod.
"Me too." She took the books and turned to place them on the cart beside her,
"Looking for 'it starts with us' today then?" She made eye contact again causing me to nod.
"Well you know where to go!" She waved as I wondered off to the usual shelves I seem to always be at.
My eyes scanned every book on the shelf until finally, I saw it. I smiled to myself as I quickly lifted my hand to grab the book. But my hand was only met with another much softer hand. I jumped slightly at the sudden contact.
"Sorry!" I heard a soft voice gasp from next to me, I looked up ready to reassure the owner of the voice but I froze. Holy shit.
My eyes immediately met his bronze, cinnamon gaze. My eyes then fell to his lips, they were pink and plump with a shy small smile spread across them. My eyes then moved up to his hair. It was silky, kind of messy but in a intentional way. Then I focused on his face as a whole. He was...beautiful.
"It's- it's okay." I finally stuttered out. I immediately felt myself become flustered and red. Why was I suddenly so...shy? His smile turned from small to a big soft grin.
"Colleen Hoover fan?" He asked, his voice was gentle and quiet...it was nice.
"Quite new to her books actually, but I loved 'it ends with us!'" I smiled nodding in response, "You?" I added on.
"Love her books, this is one of my favorites actually." His eyes never once left mine.
"Oh do you want it?" I moved my hand away from the book and took a small step back.
"No, no - you take it! You haven't read it before." He assured this time he was the one taking a step back.
"Are you sure?" I asked biting my lip slightly. The boy laughed and reached over grabbing the book reaching his hand over wanting me to take it. I gave him a grin and went to grab the book. Our fingers briefly interlinked before I pulled away now with the book.
"Thank you..." I paused not knowing his name,
"Noah!" He smiled scanning my face,
"Finn." I replied. We stood in silence not really knowing what to do now.
"Are you sure you don't want the book?" I asked looking back down at him our eyes locking once again.
"I promise Finn." He softly said a small rasp appearing in his voice as he lifted his head making us somehow look even more into each others eyes. Butterflies filled my stomach.
"I'll read it once you're done." He smiled hesitantly, like he wanted to say something else.
"Maybe...I could get your snap or something, so I know when you've read it?" He blurted out. This time it was Noah who went red.
"And then I can hear your opinion on it?" He added,
"Yeah, of course!" I smiled a bit too widely down at him. I searched my back pocket until finally grabbing my phone and handing it over to Noah. I watched his focus turn to the phone as he typed presumably his username into the search bar and after a couple taps he handed my phone back to me. We stood yet again in silence,
"I...I should go pay," I smiled at him causing him to nod and smile back,
"I'll see you around Finn." His soft voice called out from behind me,
"Bye Noah." I turned my head to give him one last look before walking back over to Tracy.

I FINALLY updated, how was this??
I obviously did the randomly generated words thing again to get some inspo, I got 'books, madness and read' so here it is.
Disclaimer, I've never actually read the books mentioned in this lmao but if you have tell me your opinions on them!!
I'mma try update as much as I can but it's just hard to get inspo and have time to write rn
