The group had only just made it to their seats in time. Mike and Will on the front row, Max and Lucas sat behind. For Lucas and Max it was a date, deep down Will wished it was the same for them but it wasn't, it could never be. Mike rummaged through Will's rucksack pulling out bags of M&Ms.
"Want some?" He whispered his eyes on Will. Will nodded and grabbed a handful out the packet - his hand brushed against Mike's causing both boys to look at each other. Will felt butterflies fill his stomach, how could he not. He was in love with Mike. And Mike...Mike was trying not smile at the sudden contact.
The movie soon began. Will couldn't help but take constant small glances over at the Mike but the moment they made eye contact the pair both turned bright red. A massive boom roared from the movie causing Will to jump back.
"You okay!?" Mike whispered his full attention on his best friend. Will nodded catching his breath,
"Yeah sorry!" Mike laughed softly his focus still on Will. Will couldn't pull his attention away from Mike either.
Neither of them knew what happened, all they could do was lean forward and just like that...their lips attached. It was a small and short kiss but it was everything they both had been waiting for.
"I like you." Mike whispered quietly as he pulled back. Will's face immediately lit up at Mike's words.
"I like you too Mike." Both boys seemed to have forgotten that their friends were sat behind them. Max elbowed Lucas to get his attention and began letting out a quiet squeal.
"I want to be with you Will." Mike for the first time confessed not only to himself but to the boy he adored.
"I want that to." Will whispered resting his head on Mike's shoulder causing Mike to let out a big grin before turning back to the movie.
Neither of them had realized how long the other had waited for that moment.
