Noah's pov -
I let out a loud sigh and stared at myself in the mirror. Was a suit too formal? But then again was jeans too casual? To be honest I was scared. I haven't been on a date in years. I haven't been on a date that wasn't with Finn.
I gave myself one last glance and walked out my room and into the living room where Sadie was waiting impatiently. Sadie and I remained close even after the whole Finn thing. She barely talks to Millie anymore and cut off Finn as soon as she found out. When she saw me her face lightened up and she squealed and clapped her hands.
"You look amazing!!!" I gave her a nervous smile and she came up to me and hugged me, "It'll be okay Noah."
"But what if he doesn't like me??" I panic, "Or what if I mess up!!?"
"Noah, breathe." I did as Sadie said and soon calmed down but as I heard a knock at my door I started to panic again. As I opened the door I saw Gaten with his stupid goofy smile that was actually really cute and behind him I saw a smaller, dark haired boy.
"Noah, this is Jack" Gaten said and Jack looked up and smiled at me and I smiled back.
"Hey," He said shyly,
"Hey," I said back letting out a small laugh.
"Now you two have fun at your dinner." Gaten said practically pushing me out my own door and shutting the door in my face.
<<Time skip>>
We arrived at the restaurant after a very quiet car ride...but it didn't feel awkward. We got to our table and Jack started making small talk and I got to know him a little better and I was really enjoying myself.
We spent the whole night laughing and getting to know each-other and for once my mind was away from Finn. I didn't want the night to end but it had to, so as Jack walked me to my apartment door we just stood there, neither of us wanting to leave. I gave him a small smile and kissed his cheek then thanked him for the night and then entered my apartment. Gaten, Sadie and Chloe turned towards me and rushed over,
"So? How was it???" They all asked at once. I smiled and gave a nod and they all squealed.
Later that night as I was laying in bed, my phone buzzed, I looked down at it, Finn Wolfhard tweeted: Just me and Mills... I rolled my eyes and swiped the notification feeling a small pain in my chest, maybe I didn't completely block him...but can you blame me? My phone buzzed yet again only to get another notification, this time a text...
"Hey Noah, it's Jack, I just wanted to say thank you for tonight I really enjoyed myself maybe we could...do it again sometime?" A big smile spread across my face as I bit my lip then typed my reply falling asleep with the biggest smile on my face. I hadn't smiled like that in forever, it felt...good.
A/N: So um this could've been better but i'm not in a good place rn so I'm sorry for this...
