So Close Yet So Far (ON HOLD)

Chapter 9

I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I am wearing a mermaid wedding gown that my mom designed, I love every inch of it. The details are very beautiful and it is made perfectly for my body.

The gown hugged my body and it showed my curves in all the right places.

My mom also designed a white see through gloves up to my shoulder that completed my whole look.

My hair is loosely up and some curled strands of my hair is left on each side of my face.

I was so mesmerized with how I look that I didn't even realize that Brianna is just beside me. Brianna hugged me from behind.

And I held her hands that's hugging me

"I can't believe you're already getting married Priscilla!" Sabi nito na naiiyak.

"I also can't believe it." Sabi ko

She's my maid of honor while my other friends are my Bridesmaid.

Nakisabay na din sa yakap si Mandie and Mency sumunod din sa kanila si Demi at Diana.

"Well that's one down out of six." Pabirong sabi ni Diana, kaya hindi namin mapigilang tumawa.

"You are really beautiful Priscilla, alam kong maganda kana dati pa, hindi ko alam na may ikagaganda ka pa pala." Ani ni Demi.

"Wedding dress will always make you 10 times prettier. can't wait for my turn." sabat naman ni Diana na kinikilig.

"What makes it even better is the one who's waiting on the altar and it's Dale Hugo, the one and only!" bigla silang naghikhikan at impit na napapasigaw sa sinabi ni Mandie.

I chuckled with their reaction. I stared at my reflection in the mirror again. I am loving what I am seeing in the mirror.

While I as looking at my own reflection I also saw my parents reflection looking at me intently. Nakatayo sila sa may pinto at nakangiti sa kakulitan ng aking mga kaibigan.

"Maari ko bang makausap muna ang aking prinsesa." Dad said to my friends.

My friends obeyed and they left the room except Brianna, to give us some privacy.

My mom hugged me tightly.

"My baby girl is gonna be a Mrs. in a few minutes." sabi ng mama ko na naiiyak.

"I'm still gonna be your baby girl right mama?" lambing ko sa kanya para maibsan ang lungkot nito.

Pakoramdam ko na ams nararamdaman nila ang lungkot kesa sa saya pero alam ko rin na malaki ang tiwala nila kay Hugo.

My dad even told me once that he is thankful that Hugo is the whom I will be marrying dahil kilala na niya ito at alam niya kung gaano ito kagaling sa trabaho at tingin niya din ay magiging mabuting asawa ito.

'Mas panatag ako na siya ang mapapangasawa. Compare to some stranger that you will soon introduce to us in the future' ani ng aking ama noong isang gabi na namalagi ako sa kanila to spend some time together before I get married.

I somehow agree to him.

"Of course anak, you're forever gonna be my baby."

Nagulat ako ng bigla nalang ako hablotin ng dad ko at niyakap ng mahigpit. I hugged him back with the same intensity.

I felt his shoulder shake indicating that he is crying. I also saw my mom crying nahawa ata sa tatay ko.

Kanina ko pa nahahalata na pinipigilan nila ang iyak nila.

"Dad tahan na. naiiyak na din ako, maaalis yung makeup ko."

"Are you really sure with this decision? Hindi na ba magbabago ang isip mo? I feel like I would prefer it even more if you tell me now that you don't want to get married anymore." Dad said.
