Jareth's POV

After Y/N threw a chair in the mirror, I rushed back to my chambers. I didn't want the goblins to ask me questions about my well-being. So I barked orders at them to clean up the mess that was left in the ballroom. Not only did Y/N ruin what was supposed to be the perfect way for her to fall in love with me, but she also broke a perfectly good mirror and chair in the process. I then proceeded to rub my temples to try to stop the anger.

What was I thinking? What made me think that tricking Y/N, or waking her from the trance would be a good idea? Why do I try so hard to make her fall for me all over again? What am I going to do to make Y/N forget about this? That's when the idea hit me. What if I were to make her walk through her past?

I could help Y/N realize why we met. Y/N could rewatch the bullies tear up her book. Which, in hopes, will make her remember why she needed me. That I needed to protect her. That's why she came to the Goblin City with me in the first place.

But that's when Sarah ruined everything. Needing to come back to the place that she was once welcomed to many years ago, only to "save" her daughter from me. Y/N wouldn't have left me to wallow in my self-pity. That's when I could feel my intentions turning. The memory of watching Y/N cry in her bedroom appeared in my mind, and I could only blame that on the fact that I wanted Y/N to hurt as much as I did.

Before I could comprehend what I'd done, it was already too late. The memory of letting Y/N blame herself was now in her timeline. I could see Y/N yell at me; that's when I gave up on the plan.

"Can't you see that you've hurt her enough?"

That was the one question that stung the most.

At this point, all I wanted to do was hug Y/N. Just to feel her warmth surrounding me, to touch her soft hair, nuzzle my head against hers, to pick her up ever so slightly just to feel her laugh against my body. I just wanted to feel her love all over again.

~Flashback~

You and Jareth were laying on his bed early in the morning. Jareth's head was nuzzled into your shoulder, breathing in your scent. Focusing on how your shoulders would slowly move up and down in your sleep. He felt you stir awake, so he kissed your shoulder softly to help you wake up a little more. You turned over to face Jareth and fluttered your eyes open.

"Good morning love," Jareth said as he smiled.

"Good morning my king," you replied while smiling back at him.

Jareth looked into your eyes and could see the sun shining in them. Along with love hiding behind them, but he could see it. He proceeded to push the hair out of your face, which caused butterflies in your stomach. You reached out to put your hand on Jareth's face and rubbed your thumb on his cheek. You moved your body a little closer to his.

"I could stay in bed all day with you," you said as you kissed Jareth.

"I could too," he muttered in between kisses. You pulled each other closer as you were fully immersed  in each other's kisses. Sleepily wrapping your arms around each other, wishing it was possible to fuse into one another.  An overwhelming feeling of love washed over you as you blissfully sighed into his mouth. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, you both pulled away - nose inches apart. You looked into his sweet blue eyes, in this lighting they look like two different colors. That's when you noticed the playful, euphoric look on his face. You chuckled and narrowed your eyes the same way.

"What are you thinking about, handsome?" you managed to utter in your cracked voice. He cooed at the name you gave. Carefully, he wrapped both arms around your body and slowly made his way on top of you, making sure to be delicate as if you were a prized possession. How you loved being praised by him. You blushed as he looked into your eyes and said, tenderly:
