Ever since Jareth kissed you, you haven't been the same. You couldn't get over the fact that he kissed you just so he can get even. But, you also couldn't help to wonder if he actually meant it. Did Jareth kiss you because he...loves you? "Nonsense." You thought to yourself "He would never like me."

The thought bugged you all day. You thought it was time to confess your feelings. You walked into Jareth's room to see that he was not there. The only other place Jareth could be was the throne room. But again, he wasn't there. "Beetleglum?" You said to one of the goblins "Where's Jareth?"

"I think he's in the garden, m'lady." He pointed to a door at the side of the room.

"Thank you, Beetleglum."

"Don't mention it!"

You walked out of the castle into the garden. You've never seen the garden at night. It was just as beautiful as it was during the day. Halfway through the garden, you ran into bright neon pink flowers. And just a few steps away, you saw Jareth sitting on a bench twirling one of the flowers in his hand. You walked towards him. Jareth looked up and smirked.

"Hello, love." You gave smirk back.

"Hi."

"Do you need something?"

"I uh...well..." The flowers slowly changed into a light blue. You stopped talking and looked at the flowers. You picked one. "...The flowers changed...How is that so?" Jareth chuckled a little.

"These flowers change with my mood. They are extremely special. You can pick them and they will never die." You sat down next to Jareth. You twirled the flower in your hand.

"So, what does light blue mean?" You said, looking up at Jareth.

"Worry."

"Oh! Don't worry! I'm fine!"

"Whew! That's a relief!" The flowers slowly went back to pink.

"So, what do other colors mean?"

"Red means anger, obviously. Blue means sad. White, fine. Green, tired. Orange, playful. Yellow, happy. Black, depressed. And gray, remorse."

"What does purple mean?"

"That I can not tell you!"

"Why?"

"You're too young and it's inappropriate!" You laughed, I think you know what it means. Jareth chuckled at your cute laugh.

"But...What does pink mean." Jareth paused and blushed a little.

"Well...um...Oh! Stop asking questions! What do you need?"

"Hm...Well, I don't know how to say this without sounding weird."

"Y/N, this is the underground. Everything is weird." You chuckled

"I know that but...I kinda...Well, I guess I have no other way to say it." You took a deep breath and started: "Ever since you kissed me, I've been uneven if that makes sense. I've been in this dilemma where I don't know if you did that to get even with me so I wouldn't feel guilty...or you did that because...You meant it." Jareth paused for a moment.

"Um...I..."

"Ugh! I know it's stupid! I'll just leave!

"No!" Jareth quickly grabbed your arm as you tried to run away. "I'm not losing you this time..." You sat back down. Jareth sighed. "Do you...Want to know what pink mean?" You paused.

"...Yes?" Jareth looked at the flower that he was holding in his hand.

"Well...Pink means...In love." You both paused and blushed. "When you kissed me, I was confused because I thought you didn't love me in that sense. I was thinking "Did she really mean that? Or was that just an instinct?" So when I kissed you, I was trying to get even with you and trying to stop you from feeling uncomfortable. But, deep down...I really meant it." Jareth looked at you with his calm, blue eyes. You blushed a little harder. "Y/N...I love you."

Your eyes went wide. You were shocked. You didn't think Jareth felt the same way. Tears started to build up in your eyes. You smiled. "I love you too, Jareth."

"...Why are you crying?"

"What! Me? Crying? Ahaha! No!" You quickly wiped the tears away from your eyes.

"Y/N, your crying. It's fine." You sighed.

"I'm crying because...I never had anyone love me as much as you do. Or if I did love someone, they didn't feel the same. And now that I have someone who feels the same...I feel...complete...if that makes sense."

"Completely." You both smiled. Jareth then hugged and you immediately hugged back. You dug your head into his shoulder as you sobbed silently. You both pulled away from the hug but kept close. You sniffed. Jareth wiped the tears still coming down your cheeks. You smiled. Jareth kissed you, this time you kissed back. You let go of the kiss. "Alright, let's get back to the castle."

You both got up and linked arms and you rested your head on his shoulder. You walked away as the tips of the flowers turned yellow.
