Underground (Jareth X Reader)

The sun rose calmly over the underground, making the sky look pink and orange. You woke up forgetting what happened. As your vision was going back to normal, you realized that you fell asleep with Jareth. He had his arms lightly around your waist and your noses were inches apart. You blushed. Jareth was silently snoring, which only made you giggle. Sooner than later, he stopped. He then started to open his eyes, once he did, he smirked. "Hi." He said in a tried, low voice.

"Hi." You gave a grin back.

"Was I snoring?"

"Maybe?..."

"I was, wasn't I?"

"Yes, yes you were." You both laughed at each other and sighed. "The sunrise is very pretty." Jareth moved his head backward to see the window.

"Oh yes, it's one of my favorite aspects about the place!" You both just laid there in the silence for 10 seconds until you broke it.

"I seriously thought you were going to make a corny joke there." He laughed at your comment.

"yoU kNoW WHaT's PrETTiEr?! YOU!" He said in a playful manner, making you laugh. "Ya, no. I'm not all about that. I mean...It's uh...Kinda...no It's..."

"It's what?" Jareth started to blush a little. He then frowned his lips a little and flinched is eyes brows.

"I mean...As corny as it may sound...It's kinda...true." You giggled and shook your head. You both then started laughing. The room was now silent. You decided to move a little closer to Jareth. In doing so, you wrapped your arms around his neck. He didn't move nor flinch. You stayed like this for a minute and then, you made your move. You kissed Jareth, making the butterflies in your stomach go nuts...but he didn't kiss back. You let go of the kiss but you stayed close. You saw the slightly confused look on Jareth's face. You then showed emotions of scared and embarrassed.

"I'm sorry...I don't know why I...Oh, I'm so stupid!" You quickly jumped out of bed and ran out of the room.

"Y/N wait!" Jareth tried to catch up with you but by the time he exited his room, you already shut the door of your room. You were so embarrassed, why did you do that? You didn't come out of your room till 6 hours later.

"Jareth? Do you think she's alright?" Said a small voice outside the door.

"Yes, she's alright. I'll talk to her." You heard small footsteps walking away followed by a knock at the door. "Y/N...Please let me in..."

"It's open." You said in a glum tone. Jareth opened the door to find you laying on your bed facing away from him. He walked over to you and sat on your bed.

"Please don't be embarrassed or ashamed. You did nothing wrong." You turned over on your back now facing him. Jareth was now wearing his iconic white shirt with gray tight pants.

"How so? I kissed you and you seemed not ok with it."

"It was just an instinct, we all have instincts."

"STILL JARETH! I kissed you and it made you mildly uncomfortable!" You turned over with your back facing him again. You just laid there in silence for a moment. Then you felt Jareth move. He grabbed both your writs and pulled you closer to him. "What are you doing?" He did not respond. "JARETH WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Still no response. Now, you were getting anxious as he just stares into your soul. You didn't know if you should find it unsettling or sexy. Without another word, he leaned in and kissed you. You stopped tensing and you stopped resisting. He then let go of the kiss but kept close. Your mouth dropped just a little and your breathing went heavy.

"There...Now we're equal." Jareth let go of you and walked over to the door. You were frozen in the position you were in. "...Are you ok, love?" You turned your head and nodded slowly. "Now come, the other goblins would love to meet you!" You got up from your frozen position and walked over to Jareth. You both then linked arms and walked into the throne room.
