It was now Saturday. You woke up to find the book with a note sitting on your bedside table. You sprung up in surprise. You grabbed the book along with the note. The book was the exact replica of what your father gave you, exact. From the little coffee stain on page 23 to the little rip at the corner of page 107, the book was exact. You then started to read the note. "Dear Y/N, Be careful with the book. It took me a while to get it right. I hope you had a good night sleep. I hope you had the best dreams. Sincerely, Jareth The Goblin King."
You gasped at the note. "...I thought it was a dream!" right after you said that, the owl perched on your windowsill. You were happy to see him. You opened the window "Hello again! I just got a note from Jareth the Goblin King! He's the king in my book! I remember seeing him last night, but I thought it was a dream! You don't know how happy I am!" The owl made a noise as if it was happy for you. You gave another small laugh. "I don't think we been properly introduced. I'm Y/N." The owl moved its head as if it was nodding. "I don't know what to call you though." You tilted your head at the owl, it did the same. "Hmm, you look like a Jareth. I know that's the goblin king but...you look like a Jareth! Do you mind me calling you that?"
The owl made a noise and moved its head. "Alright! Jareth it is!" There was then knocking at the door. The owl flew away. You were disappointed to see Jareth go but you had to open the door anyway. You walked over to the door and opened it to find your mother. "Oh, you're up early!" She said with an upbeat attitude.
"Ya, do you need something?"
"Well, I have to run some errands and I was wondering if you wanted to come with me!"
"Where are you going?"
"Well, I was thinking that we would go get breakfast and then to the mall!"
"Sure, I'll come!"
"Great! Get ready!" Your mom then left. You sighed and started getting ready. You put on a t-shirt of your favorite band, black leggings, and black converse. Sooner than later, you were ready to go. Once you were ready, the owl, now named Jareth, flew by your window once again. He made a whistle noise as if he was saying that you look great. You smiled and bowed a little.
The mall wasn't THAT packed yet it was full of people. Your mother left you to your own devices. Instead of going into a popular store like Forever 21 or Hot Topic, you decided to visit a small shop called "Creatrix's magic shop." The shop was full of just the basic necessities to be a witch, but you mostly like it because of how good it smells and all the magic stuff. You picked up a few candles and a few crystal necklaces and you were out. After leaving the store, you went to the food court that your mom told you to meet up. She wasn't there yet so you sat down. You decided to bring your book to the mall knowing that you were going to wait for your mom. So, you read your book, undisturbed by anyone. It was nice really. There was no screaming teenagers, no talkative teachers, and mostly, there was no bully to take away your book. Sooner than later, your mother found you. "There you are!" She said. You hid your book by placing it on the seat next to you.
"Oh, hi."
"What did you buy?" You pulled the things out of your bag, showing your candles and crystals. Your mother had shoes and clothing, like always.
"Alright, you ready?"
"Yup!" You both then left the mall, happy and satisfied.
