Underground (Jareth X Reader)

It has been 2 months since Jareth took you away. In normal time, that is not long at all. One day in the underground is 3 hours in real time. You and Jareth hadn't been more in love. Every night was something new. Either was a date or a present. One present that he gave you which you are very fond of, is a bouquet of the color changing flowers. You keep them by your window sill. You both loved each other's company. Your love for him grew by the minute. Jareth felt the same.

You stopped sleeping in your room. Instead, you decided to sleep with Jareth in his room. His warm body touching yours, it's all you need to have a nights rest.

One day, after talking in bed for 2 hours straight, Jareth got up from the bed and moved to the other side of the room. You sat up. He grabbed something from the dresser then placed his hands behind his back and started to make his way towards you.

"Y/N, we have known each other for a while now. And I want to give you something. Please don't feel forced to do anything. I want you to take your time." You were confused. What does Jareth have to offer? "Open your hand."

You slowly and carefully opened your hand. Jareth placed something in it. He then closed your hand and sat across from you on the bed, criss-cross applesauce. You slowly opened your hand. Your eyes went wide and you gasped silently. The item that was in your hand was a ring. A silver ring with a diamond. You put it on. It fits perfectly

"Jareth." You looked up at him. "I don't know what to say!"

"You don't need to say anything. Y/N, I love you. You already know that. I love you so much that I...well...I would love to spend the rest of my life with you. I, I will be king. And you, you will be queen!" You sighed.

"Though nothing will keep us together."

"We could steal time, just for one day." Jareth smirked "We could be heroes! Forever and ever...what d'ya say?" You gave a small smile back and then laid down in the bed. Jareth moved and laid down next to you. You put your hand in the air, admiring the ring.

"I don't know, Jareth. I'll have to think about it. I mean...You...small laugh you could be mean." You looked at Jareth. "And I, I'll drink all the time."

"Cause we're lovers, and that is a fact." You smiled at Jareth's reply. You moved in closer to him and you both snuggled.

"Yes, we're lovers."

"And that is that," Jareth said, giving you a small boop on the nose. You giggled. "I'm not expecting an immediate reply, I want you to think about it." You looked up a Jareth and smiled. You then kissed him.

"I love you, Jareth."

"I love you more." Jareth held you until you fell asleep. Once you were out, Jareth let go of you and moved the covers over you. After that, he left the room. He didn't return after that...
