You sat on your bed scared and curious. What was happening? You could hear goblins fighting but you couldn't see them. The view from your bedroom window didn't help either. After a few minutes of fighting, it was silent. There were then many footsteps making its way to the throne room. "Jim! Come on!" Said a goblin outside the door.

"I can't! I'm guarding this door!"

"Well, ok!" The voice then stomped away. Guarding the door? Great now you can't get out. How were you going to get out? Then, you figured it out. Distraction! You found a penny that was by your bed. You then carefully slide it under the door.

"Hey! A penny!" Said Jim, followed by footsteps moving towards the penny. You slowly and carefully opened the door and quickly made your way to the throne room. Once you were there, you saw all the goblins gathered around a crystal.

"I can't believe she did it!" Said one goblin.

"I can't believe she's back doing the same thing again!" Said another goblin. You moved slowly towards the crystal. One goblin turned to look at you, he gasped. His gasp only made the rest of the goblins gasp. They were frozen. You pushed the goblins away to see the activity that was happening within the crystal. Your lips parted and your eyes widened.

"Mom?..."

Within the crystal

"There! See! I've outsmarted you once again! Now, give her to me!" Sarah said with anger. Jareth slowly walked around her, like a vulture stalking its prey. They were in the same space as they were those many years ago.

"Now, Sarah. Be careful what you wish for!" Sarah sighed and clenched her fists in frustration.

"No! Fair is fair! Give me my daughter!"

"Can you stop thinking of yourself for one moment!?" Jareth stopped walking around Sarah. The two looked at each other with anger. "Do you ever wonder how Y/N feels?" He then smirked. "...though, you are right. Fair is fair." Sarah tilted her head in confusion. What was this cruel, wicked king having going in his mind? "So, I'll leave you with two options. It's either she goes and you stay, or she stays and you go. Take your pick."

Sarah sparked up and her lips parted. She shook her head. "No. NO! Those can't be my only options!"

"You said it yourself! Fair is fair! Those are your only options."

"NO! NO!" Sarah started to cry. "THOSE CAN'T BE MY ONLY OPTIONS! THOSE CAN'T!" Sarah dropped to her knees and sobbed. You stood there and watched every single second of it. You started to tear up. This is not the Jareth you know. What happened to his heart?!

"...Sarah." Sarah looked up to see Jareth in front of her at her level. "Look!" Jareth was holding a crystal. She looked into it to see you and Jareth. Memories from the moments you guys spent were going by like a movie. "Do you see how happy she is with me? I know you haven't seen her this happy in a while." Sarah bit her lip as she watched the vibrant pictures dance across the crystal. "How do you think she would feel if you take this happiness away from her?" Jareth got up. Sarah sniffed and got up as well. She stared into Jareth's deep blue eyes and sighed.

"Alright, I'll go then," she said, choking on tears "...but please tell her that even though I wasn't there all the time or even the most supportive, I still loved and cared for her very much..." Jareth smirked.

"I will."

Then, everything slowly faded away and Sarah found herself back at home. She walked to her room, shut her door, and went to sleep. By this time, you've seen everything. You went back to your room and cried. 30 minutes later, there was a knock on your door. You quickly wiped away your tears. "Come in!" Jareth walked in with a tired look. "So...what happened?" Jareth walked over to you.

"Nothing, just an intruder. You get a lot of those in the Underground."

"Oh." Jareth smirked. He then laid down next to you and cuddled you. He nuzzled his nose in your neck. You didn't hug him back.

"Oh, Y/N. I love you."

"I know." Jareth then fell asleep. You slowly pushed him off of you and walked to the garden to clear your mind.
