As you walked up the stairs leading towards the castle, your mind started to wander back to the time when you were once happy here. Until you realized who Jareth indeed was, someone who cannot be trusted. Consumed once again by the memories that bring tears to your eyes, whether they be sad or angry. Before you knew it, you were facing those cursed castle doors. You slowly pushed them open, hoping no one would hear them creak. You took your first step into the castle, and what feels like decades of what used to be love washed over you. Briskly, your adrenaline kicked in, and started searching for Agatha.

You walked up and down stairs and opened all the doors you came upon hoping she will be there. You called for her but there was no response. Finally, you stumbled into a hallway that felt familiar. A weird sense of nostalgia crept up. You opened the first door on your left and you froze.

It was your room. Your old room, kept the same way as you left it. You walked in remembering all the details. Your posters, your full-length mirror, even the knick knacks on your bedside table. As you surveyed the room, a bright light caught your eye. It was Jareth's flowers. All the petals were a different color, you'd never seen the flowers like this before. A tender memory appeared in your mind - that night in the garden. As much as you tried to push it down you had a realization: that was the last time you were truly happy. You tried really really hard to think of other times when you were happy, there had to be! But alas, the only time you've been truly happy was when you lived here. Roaming the castle, dancing and singing all day, being with Jareth...You were only happy with Jareth...

It occurred to you that if this was your room, then the next room must be his. You then proceeded to walk cautiously out of your room and into Jareths. Just the sight of it saddened you, as more painful memories came to you. You sat on the edge of the bed and started out the window. You have forgotten how pretty the sunset is in the Underground, it reminded you of the many sunsets and rises you shared with him. This whole process of completing the Labyrinth and avoiding certain death and being face to face with him has made you question these last few years. You reached into your pocket and took out your ring. Of all the riddles you couldn't answer, there is one that you've managed to crack.

Jareth loves you, and you love him too.

You could've stayed in the Underground with him. You could've made a compromise with him about seeing your mother now and then. But above all, you could've been his queen. How did things end up like this? You didn't cry about this, not a single tear. You're through with crying. What is done, is done. Not like you can go back in time and change your ways. Exhausted and almost defeated, you frowned and tried to refocus "Oh, Agatha, where could you be?" you said to yourself.

"She's not here." said a deep voice. You turned around and there he was, Jareth, standing in the doorway. You put the ring back in your pocket and sighed.

"Yes, I can see that," you said, not facing him. "Tell me, Goblin King, how much time do I have left?"

"The time doesn't matter anymore, Y/N." he replied, moving closer to you.

"Then at the very least tell me where she is?" There was silence for a while, but knowing him you knew he was summoning a crystal. Then, you found him in front of you and handed it to you.

"She's in the garden." you looked into it. Sure enough, there she was. It seemed she was also fascinated by the rainbow flowers. Suspicious, you looked up at him but before you could say anything he interrupted you, "She's safe. I made sure of that myself." he said, genuinely. A wave of calm and peace washed over you, something you haven't felt in hours. You looked back into the crystal, watching her lay in a sunny patch surrounded by different plants and flowers, enjoying herself.
