Part 8

The next few days go quickly and two days before Louis has to go back to his dad he starts to become distant and closed off. They boys notice but they don't know it's because he doesn't want to go home.

Louis has been taken off the drip and is having the antibiotics twice a day as a tablet. The boys are happy with his progress and his kidney infection is healing nicely.

Louis stays in bed mostly, he's angry and he knows in two days his life will go back to shit and he doesn't know how to handle it. He doesn't want to take his anger out on the boys though, so he avoids them as best he can.

"Hey kiddo, want to come watch a movie?" Andy asks as he comes into Louis room, the night before he has to go home.

Louis is reading on the bed, trying to take his mind off going home. 

"Not really, I'm tired" Louis says

Andy sighs and sits on the bed next to Louis, he reaches out and feels Louis forehead, he's not warm

"I'm fine Andy" Louis says frustrated as he swipes Andy's hand off his forehead.

Drew and Edward then walk in, coming to find them both.

"You okay Lou?" Edward asks

"I'm fine" Louis says, his attitude short

"Whoa, what's up babe? Why are you upset?" Drew asks concerned

"I just am" Louis says trying to be angry but he comes across as a cute kitten. 

"Okay, we were just wanting to spend some time with you before you went home tomorrow, if you're to tired that's completely okay" Andy says

"Well, I won't be around anymore or bothering you anymore, so you won't have to pretend you want to spend time with me" Louis says upset

The boys all look to each other confused

"Louis, we're not pretending, we love spending time with you" Drew says

"Then why did you never come and see me, why did you leave me" Louis says, he just blurts it out.

Louis loves his brothers to absolute death and he understands they were studying and much older than him, but he was left alone to be abused at the hands of his dad and to cope with seeing his mum so sick every single day, to pretend that everything was okay. He would never, ever blame his brothers but he resents them a little. Tomorrow he goes home to hell, while they all get to go on with their happy lives.

Troy blames Louis for his mums death, for everything turning to shit, he was the one who caused it all, the one who deserves to be beaten not his brothers, but it's just hard to see them so happy while his world is consumed with so many dark clouds that he can never talk about.

Louis, where is this coming from?" Edward asks

Louis looks to his brothers, they are all gorgeous, so successful and happy, they've built themselves a wonderful life and it's not their fault Louis was left behind.

"Nowhere, I'm sorry, forget it" Louis says

"Lou, you don't have to be sorry, tell us how you're feeling, we're here for you and to listen" Edward says

"I know we've been working alot bud, but we promise to make more time for you" Drew says

"It's not your job to make more time for me" Louis says

"We will always make time for you kiddo, we want to spend time with you, we've missed you and we're sorry we weren't there to watch you and support you growing up" Andy says
