Ian and Brady were dead silent in the car as they weaved in and out of traffic, pushing almost 110 mph. Ian's muscles were tensed up and he had a knot in his stomach that wasn't going away. The moment Lucy said that two bombs were going to go off, he knew she was talking about his mom. He knew Brady had thought the same thing. The clock was ticking and Ian had no idea how much time they had left. Ian slid his eyes over for a brief moment to see Brady's body shaking; both from fear and from anger. Ian's hatred for Lucy was at its peak, as was Brady's. Ian wouldn't feel content until he knew she was dead. The city was finally coming into view and Ian stepped on it, hoping to beat the clock they were racing against. As they pulled into the city, Ian gritted his teeth together when he saw a blockade in the middle of the highway. Swerving to a stop, they got out and ran up to one of the chief police officers.
"What's with this?" Ian said angrily as the officer turned to look at him. "We need to get through."
"Sorry boys," the officer replied. "No one is going into that zone."
"Why not?" Brady growled.
"Lucas called and said to blockade the city and give about a 500 yard radius of the Black Ops station. There are bombs in there."
"We know that!" Brady yelled and Ian looked over the security railing, his eyes squinting as he looked at the building. Lucas went ahead and cleared the area...in case we didn't make it. Ian, ignoring the officer's shouts, ducked underneath the railing and started running to the building, Brady not too far behind him. Despite the danger, Ian wanted to see his mom one last time before Lucy blew her to little pieces. Ian hadn't taken but a few long strides before the building burst into a fiery explosion, the force of it lifting Brady and Ian off of their feet and flying backwards. They landed heavily on their backs as the eruption went upward, almost taking the shape of an atomic bomb. Ian looked at the building as it was engulfed by flames and he tightened his hands into fists, his knuckles bleeding from his impact. Brady was shaking beside him as they looked out as the flames lapped at the debris from the building. There would be nothing left of their mothers.

Lucas was silent as he drove, his eyes every now and then flickering over to Cody who sat staring aimlessly out the window. Crane sat silently in the back seat, his eyes glazed over with hatred. Lucas sighed heavily, trying to calm himself down as the entered the city limits. Lucas was silently praying that Ian and Brady would be okay. Lucas' eyes widened when he saw the sudden explosion down in the city and Cody tensed up beside him. They watched as the smoke drifted up into the sky, almost turning it a charcoal color. They reached the blockade to see the officers escorting civilians away from the burning perimeter. Lucas came to a stop and got out, walking over to the chief officer. He glanced over and saw Ian and Brady near and ambulance, their arms getting checked. Lucas closed his eyes for a moment, knowing full well that they tried to get close before the bomb went off. He stopped in front of the officer.
"Was anyone still in the area?" Lucas asked quietly.
"We got everyone out," the officer said reassuringly. "Except for the two mothers. They seemed to understand what was going on and even helped evacuate the building. I'm not sure how well your boys are taking it though."
"They aren't going to take it well," Lucas muttered as he looked back over at them again.
"Oh, you should know," the officer started as he pulled out a slip of paper. "That soldier that was guarding Lucy when she escaped; he's awake now."
