(A/N) I know the song is from a boy to a girl but just pretend its switched around! ;)
My breath hitched at the sight of him as all the memories of what had happened only mere days ago flashed in front of my eyes. The glazed and vengeful look in his eyes gave everything away and I knew he would get his revenge one way or another. There was a deep cut on his forehead from where Alex has lashed out on him, but other than that there was nothing that would give away that he had just recently been involved in extremely violent event. I couldn't deny the fact that he was attractive, however it was all wasted as I knew the real monster behind such a face.
'Analise Thomson,' he spat through gritted teeth.
'Chace,' I replied in an equally cool voice.
'What are you doing here? Oh wait...Let me guess...looking for lover boy?' he sniggered taking a step towards me. I didn't back down, but instead stood up in a straighter posture refusing to back down. His grey suit stuck well to his toned body as his hair flopped messily across his forehead. How could the devil be pulling me towards someone who looks so much like an angel?
'What did you do to him Chace?' I demanded to know, my tone firm and unamused.
'Who me? Now why would I ever do such a thing?' he feigned love for Alex then continued before I had a chance to speak, 'After all he is my darling little brother..' his voice made me wince due to the amount of bitterness contained in each word.
'Don't make me gag Chace! Just cut to the chase....Chace..' I stuttered towards the ending unsure of what I had just babbled. A short laughter errupted from Chace as he held his stomach for support gasping for air. After a few minutes he composed himself again and the grim expression was back on his face.
'I don't have time for this right now...and no I haven't seen or contacted Alex. The incident that happened-'
'Yeah the one in which you tried to kill us and happily watch us burn to death in agony because of some petty revenge!' I interrupted him angrily not trying to hide the viciousness in my voice.
'I know, you should know the plan was to scare you enough so that you wouldn't see Alex anymore..' he stated his voice cool and calm. I gazed at him in shock. What? Was this some kind of joke that I was going to become the star of any second?
'Wha...what are you talking about Chace? You nearly killed us! Nobody can just act like that!' I loud whispered because of the many onlookers glaring at us wide-eyed.
'Look the point is we just needed you to be kept away from Alex and it was only a warning, the business deal had gone haywire with you missing and well my dad...he needed something to be done,' he declared as if this was just some casual thing to say.
'That doesn't justify for what you did Chace! I don't care what it was for! What if we had died? How could you have been so heartless, and dont b*llsh*t with me, you only wanted revenge because of your sibling rivalry! What were you jealous seeing him so happy?' I hissed, keeping my eyes locked onto his then continuing, 'I never thought someone could be so..so..savage!'
'No, I don't give a damn about his life and especially not about you! If he had died then no one would care anyway he can rot in hell for all I care!' he snarled anger dancing in his eyes.
'How can you say that? He was your brother for godsakes,' I croaked, tears filling my eyes as I staggered back a bit and wiped them away furiously.
'He is not my brother...he is the son of the woman who gave birth to me, nothing more than that!' his voice was dangerously low and he was quaking in anger.
'But all this for a stupid business deal?' I sniffed, slapping myself mentally and telling myself to stay strong.
'It was a deal that had the power to bring us on the streets,' he replied stiffly.
