Chapter 24 (C'mon Boy)

There I saw him. Even though I couldn't see his face I knew he would be a suitable candidate for the job. From his back I could tell from his posture he was well built and slightly cocky. His golden brown hair reflected in the sunlight and for some reason seemed very familiar. Anyway, ignoring my intuition I got up and straightened out my dress then looked back at Alex with a smirk.

'You're going for him? The guy with a girl? Oh I'm gona love to see this!' he sniggered leaning back in his chair and tempting me to jump him. I pushed the feeling of guilt away and continued walking towards the guy, finally seeing the girl come into view. She was fairly pretty with black hair and a cute heart-shaped face. The dreamy look in her eyes proved she believed in fairytales and all that crap, still despite the nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach my feet didn't stop and I tapped his shoulder. He ever so slowly turned around with a smile on his face about something the girl had just said. I gasped in shock at the sight of his face...it was Zac! Oh my god I was in some deep trouble...I couldn't back out now! Glancing over to Alex he had a massive grin on his face as he raised an eyebrow and gestured me to continue.

'Oh urm hey Analise...' he started of shakily scratching the back of his head sheepishly.

'Who is she?' the girl questioned a skeptical look on her face.

'I'm a friend we need to kind of discuss a school project here..' I replied making something random up on the spot. Wow was it getting hot in here?

'Oh well Zac never told me about you..' she further interrogated looking towards Zac for an explaination. Looking over to the flustered boy he simply stood rooted to the spot for a moment then finally walked over to the girl whispering something in her ear and moving away. Instantly she had a smile of adoration on her face as she gave him a quick peck on the lips and waved goodbye to us happily.

'Woahh what the hell happened there?' I asked, giving him a look of amazement.

'Nothing just said a few words and she was gone in a flash, so what do you want?' he asked haughtily slumping back into his chair and playing with the menu card as if I wasn't even there.

'What's up with the attitude change? You bipolar?' I asked taking a seat opposite him. He took the liberty to glance back up and glare into my eyes which indicated a clear no.

'Okay so what do you want?' he repeated his question again this time more persistantly gazing at me through his hair that flopped on his forehead.

'Don't freak out with what I'm about to do okay I'll explain all of it!' I pleaded the got up from my seat and went to sit in his lap. From the corner of my eye I saw Alex's jaw clench but continued anyway. At first Zac was taken by surprise and didn't move then he finally wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer into him so we were inches apart.

'Explain,' he breathed out.

'I need you to pretend to be madly in love with me for the next 10 minutes then in the end for a dramatic finish be sad when I leave!' I murmured in a single breath.

'And what do I get if I go along with this?' he asked skeptically as I wrecked my brain for a tempting reply.

'Whatever you want...now comeee onnn! Oh and no kissing only on cheek if necessary and no touching too much...okay?' I laid out the rules in a hushed yet stern voice. He nodded the got out of his embrace so that I wasn't as close to him. Giving him a quick peck on the cheek I moved to the other side sitting on my own chair. I was busy staring at an agitated Alex when Zac cover my hand with his and brought it up to his lips for a sweet kiss. I gasped in shock but soon recovered and gave him a cute smile. Alex's fist was clenched around the table so hard that is knuckles were white. I stifled a giggle and gestured the waiter towards us who came with a notebook in his hand and pen tucked behind his ear.
