'So you're telling me that three strangers vandalized your sexy Porsche, and the leader snuck into your house and forced you to be his girlfriend? And you said yes?' the brunette I called my best friend recited as I patiently waited for him to recover from all the information on last night.
We were currently sitting in his BMW, parked outside my house waiting for him to snap out of his shocked state.
'Yes now can you start the car? We're going to be late...' I exasperated, rolling my eyes at his dramatic reaction. For such a cool guy he sure acted like a innocent dweeb.
'You agreed to be the girlfriend of a criminal?' his voice was surprised as he turned to face me and shook me by the shoulders as if I had lost my common sense. Maybe I had. Maybe I was scared that a few screws had been knocked out of my head.
'Well it's not as if I had a choice! He didn't seem to be in the mood to negotiate!' I defended my self, my voice rising by a few decibels as Seth held up his hands as if to surrender against my will.
'Hey all I'm saying is you got to be careful about who you date? He might try and rape you on your first date,' Seth suggested in a tone so serious that for a second I actually considered his words before noticing his sneaky smile and instantly putting on a frown.
'Idiot!' I exclaimed, smacking him on his arm as he burst into a fit of laughter. I couldn't help but smile at his ridiculous laugh. He sounded like a clapping seal, unable to conquer over his voice box.
After a few minutes he finally caught his breath and turned on the ignition the silly smile still lighting up his face. I zoned out for a few seconds, resting my head against the window his green orbs flickered in front of my eyes before I shook the thoughts away. This was ridiculous. He was gone, so why in the world couldn't I stop thinking about him?
'So my darling, my angel, the light of my li-'
'No.' I cut Seth's sentence short as he groaned in annoyance. My fingers brushed against the zip if my bag and I fiddled with it, opening and closing the front compartment of the bag.
'You didn't even hear what I was going to say!' he whined, keeping his eyes on the road but his voice was enough to tell me what expression was displayed on his face.
'I know what you're going to say and the answer is no. You should have done it yourself,' I shrugged giving Seth a glare and leaning back in my seat to stretch my legs. His brown eyes flickered to mine momentarily as a silent plead before returning just as quickly back to the road.
'Ani please, baby I came so early to pick you up! Do your bestest friend in the world this one favour or Mr Borat will probably wipe him of the face of this planet like bacteria by antibiotics,' he sniffed in a sorrowful voice, while I took a dramatic sigh at his persistent nature. I couldn't help but laugh internally at the bacteria comment.
'So you admit you are scum?' I laughed raising an eyebrow as he furrowed his eyebrows before turning to face me and and winking.
'Only the best darling, living on your skin and-'
'Okay fine! Yes you can copy the homework once we get to school, I swear you have the worst analogies in history Seth!' I shook my head and laughed as he giggled. Yes...giggled.
'Can't believe we will be graduating this year...It's so unreal,' I broke the silence as Seth nodded in agreement. The years had truly gone by fast. Just yesterday I had enrolled into Grimsduke High and now it was time to leave the nest.
'There it is,' Seth proclaimed breaking my train of thoughts and brought my attention to the mansion like building coming into view. It was relatively big for a highschool and kept in pristine yet antic condition. The brick walls bought a feeling of comfort and old-school style, yet contrasted with the modernised interiors. The windows had been replaced with new glass panels that were football resistant and the doors were completely automatic. Seth pulled the car into a parking spot and turned the car off.
'Ready?' his voice held excitement as he clutched the door handle awaiting my reply eagerly.
'As I'll ever be,' I sighed, pushing the door open and welcoming the blast of hot summer air that blew across my face.
Already I could make out all the different clichés huddled into separate groups and dotted across the foreground. One of them included the average popular but not highest in the food chain group which belonged to me! I opened the door and stepped outside in my black boots and dark blue ripped jeans. To pair with it I decided to wear a flowing white top and tied my hair up into a messy bun with limited make-up.
'Heyyy!'
'Whats up!'
'Yayy I finally get to see you again!'
'Welcome backk!'
Everyone which included: Gavin, Stephanie, Jill and Keith bantered on while I just replied with a simple 'Hi'
The guys proceeded to reconnect with the 'manly' handshake they had invented at the beginning of highschool, while I joined the girls who were checking out all the hot available guys swarming around the place.
'Hmm well Toby looks pretty yummy..' Steph commented flicking her auburn hair behind her shoulder and playing with her silver necklace.
'Well you haven't seen Jason then,' Jill insisted oogling her eyes at him, making me giggle lightly. Her voluminous curly black hair and sharp cat-like features would make any girl run in the other direction and wrap any boy around her little finger. However over the years I had learnt her heart was a as soft as her hair curly, and that would be saying a lot!
'Who do I need to fight for my fair maiden?' Keith bellowed wrapping his arms around Jill and nuzzling his face in her neck. Both, me and Steph gagged at their affection while Jill blushed and turned around to face her boyfriend.
'No one I'm all yours,' Jill whispered as I rolled my eyes for the second time that morning and placed a hand on Steph's shoulder.
'Thats what I like to hear,' Keith grinned, the crease of his eyes making his smile undeniably adorable. Jill wrapped her arms around his neck and he kissed the top of her nose, admiration, adoration and love clearly reflected in both their eyes. Snapping my eyes away from the disgustingly lovely couple I turned to look at the other 1500 students in the school.
'I'm telling you if I hear one more corny line coming out of Keith's mouth I'm going to ram a snicker bar down his throat and tell him to get some nuts!' Steph mumbled angrily, while I exploded into a fury of giggles. I had the best friends anyone could ever wish for.
My laugh vapourized when my eyes landed on someone I had never seen around here before.
'Hey Steph, since you know everyone who is a male and human who is that guy over there,' my fingers pointed to the figure of the new well built kid walking through the gates. I hadn't seen him before and something told me that if I had then there would be a very small chance that I would ever forget him.
'Nice choice, seems like Ms Picky has finally found a perfect match,' she teased, while simultaneously narrowing her hawk eyes onto the new specimen walking through the iron gates.
'Shut up! Just tell me who he is!' I blushed poking her in the ribs and recieving a playfull glare.
'Okay okay well he's definitely new and judging from his ripped blue jeans and leather jacket, matched with messy gelled hair he seems to be a bad boy,' she evaluated confidently, before cheekily continuing, 'Or is atleast trying to seem that way...'
My gaze was still locked onto the mystery boy until the bell rang and snapped me out of my wandering thoughts.
'Come on ladies lets go in,' Seth proclaimed putting his arm around my shoulders and dragging me along with him.
