007. RELICS🎶 astronomy, conan gray—
as much as it seems that you own my heart,
it's astronomy, we're two worlds apart.
IT WAS A FEW DAYS LATER, and one morning Stiles and Lydia were walking through the halls together discussing the ID that Corey and Liam had found from a student who had been taken by the Wild Hunt. Stiles had hardly slept last night, his swarming thoughts keeping him awake, and this morning before school he had done some research. The couple then found Scott and Malia in the hallway, the four of them stopping to talk. Isaac was in a meeting with his advisor about catching up with all the work he'd missed.Stiles pulled out the student's ID from his pocket to show the others. He was evidently deprived of sleep, but he didn't care. "It's a relic." he explained to them like he had to Lydia previously.
"What's a relic?" Malia asked, confused.
"An object with a fix association to the past." Stiles told them, recalling his research. "Jake's ID was left behind after he was taken and Gwen found her sister's bracelet in her bathroom floor."
Scott now looked confused too, "How can someone be erased and still leave something behind?"
"It's conservation of mass." said the hazel-eyed boy, "The total of mass of any isolated system remains constant."
"So the Ghost Riders have a weakness." said Scott.
"A relic would be the proof that Aspen actually existed..." said Lydia, growing less skeptical now than she was before.
She couldn't deny it was slightly uncomfortable listening to how desperate and hellbent Stiles was on finding a girl that might not even exist.
Still holding the ID card in his hand, Stiles pursed his lips and nodded at Scott, and said— "And that we can still bring her back..."

"Why're you showing me a random kid's library card?" Sheriff Stilinski asked his son who had stopped by his office after school that day to talk to his dad.
"It's proof that this guy existed, Dad." said Stiles with conviction, "He was taken by the Ghost Riders— but he left this behind. It means he wasn't fully erased."
Sheriff Stilinski leant back in his office chair, sighing as he examined the ID card. He looked up at his son, and then placed the card on his desk, clasping his hands together in his lap.
"This isn't about some kid named Jake, is it?" Sheriff Stilinski said with a knowing look and tone.
Stiles pursed his lips, fidgeting nervously with his hands.
"She had to have left something behind, Dad..."
Stiles had told his father about the girl they were all convinced had been taken from them by the Wild Hunt a few days ago. Noah was probably the most skeptical of them all, he may know about the supernatural now, but some of it was still unfathomable to him. Nevertheless, he was always there for his son to talk to and confide in.
