"DID IT WORK? " Aspen sighed into the phone, River being on the other end of it.

"Yeah. Nolan's right behind me." River's British accented voice came through the speaker phone, "Like, literally right behind me. He's driving a bright red car. He thinks I'm on my way to hunt you guys down."

"Are you?" Scott scoffed with a bit of laughter, shaking his head, still in disbelief that this had come down to trusting River of all people.

"Scott, you've seen my eyes." River sighed, "If I was out to get you guys, I'd be the biggest hypocrite the supernatural world would ever see."

"Had to ask," Scott replied. "Can't believe I'm saying this to you but just be careful, alright?"

"I'm touched, McCall." River laughed.

'In one mile, turn right on Oak Avenue.'

A few minutes later, River pulled up in a car stocked to the brim with sleeping bags and survival kits for the pack. Scott and Aspen were waiting by the side of the quiet road for him, aware that Nolan was close behind.

"Hey. How close is he?" Aspen asked as River rolled down the driver window.

"He's back down the road." River sighed, "Don't look. Should I come in with you guys?"

"You don't have to," Aspen shook her head, "If everything goes according to the plan, your father's gonna be swarming this place soon. I don't want you risking exposing yourself in front of him."

"While I appreciate you caring," River smiled a bit, letting out a sigh, "Everyone thinks I'm out looking for you. My dad, Monroe, Gerard, Nolan— everyone in Beacon Hills."

Aspen let out a sigh of her own, turning to look at Scott as she shrugged her shoulders, and he just gave her an approving nod.

"Alright," she said to River, "Get out of the car, be quick. Nolan can't see what's in your trunk, or know that you're really helping us."

River was pacing outside the Argent's armoury when Nolan finally arrived in his red car. The pack had gotten inside, along with the blankets and sleeping bags that River had brought with him in the car. Now, Aspen and Liam were stood outside at the top of what seemed to be an abandoned zoo zone, watching carefully as River spoke to Nolan.

"Johnathon told everyone you're out hunting them," Nolan said a little sheepishly with his hands in his pockets, "So is that why you're here? You tracked them to this place?"

"Yeah," River nodded, in comparison to Nolan's sheepishness—River seemed totally calm in his hunter persona. "The whole lot of them came here, I'm sure they're hiding out inside."
