"I SAW FLASHING LIGHTS..." Quinn's voice trembled slightly, "a police car... I-I saw a badge, a gun, and then they shot me. They shot me in the head. And that's all I remember."

Sheriff Stilinski sighed, as Lydia, Malia, Aspen, Scott, Isaac and Liam turned back to the man, "There are a couple holes in her story." he said with uncertainty.

"Maybe because there's a hole in her head." Lydia shot back.

At Lydia's inappropriately timed joke, Malia and Aspen couldn't hold back an instinctive laugh as an involuntary response. Nobody else laughed, and shot the two girls disapproving looks. They both paused their lips, zipping their mouths shut to stop their inappropriate laughter, and then turned to each other, and shrugged.

"We're sorry..." Malia nodded at the others, as Aspen stood beside her nodding her head with agreement.

Everyone else just rolled their eyes and got back to the topic at hand.

"Sheriff," Scott said, turning to Stiles' dad, "we need to get Jiang and Tierney out here before anyone realises that they're here."

"And take them where?" Sheriff Stilinski shot back, "I can't let them go."

"But if you keep them here, they're—" Lydia tried to eject, as Sheriff Stilinski held out his palm, interrupting.

"Look, if there's a problem—"

Suddenly, a moderate explosion came from outside that startled everyone, causing them all to quickly turn to look out the window.

A blinding light seered through the windows and Aspen immediately looked over at Scott with a fearful look, unsure of what was going on. Noah peaked out of the blinds, his eyes widening at the scene outside.

"Get away from the windows!" Sheriff Stilinski ordered everyone in the stations, then at his deputies— "Put those guns away."

"I'm guessing you know who's out there." Parrish said to Stilinski as he appeared in the room.

"I got a pretty good idea." Noah nodded.

"They'll be armed to the teeth," Parrish warned.

Stilinski nodded, setting his gun down on a desk, "which is why I won't be."

"I'm going with you—"

"No, you're gonna get some deputies, check the exits, and hope we're not completely surrounded."

Stilinski instructed, "And keep an eye out—let's make sure we're all on the same side, here..."

Stilinski then walked out into the mob of hunters, as fear began to bubble up again in Aspen's stomach, getting a similar feeling of terror that she did in the tunnels.
