SCOTT quickly met up with Aspen and Stiles after asking his biology teacher, Mrs Finch, about the luminous blue tint in the shard of glass Stiles had taken from the wind screen. The three of them all collectively agreed that this needed to be investigated.

"Thirty nine?" Stiles turned to Scott, as the shorter brunette girl walked in between the two of them.

"Thirty nine." Scott nodded with pursed lips.

However, just as the double doors had closed themselves, they're opened again by the three as they're shoved back into the school by Natalie Martin, who was clutching their shoulders tightly and steering them through the doors with a stern expression.

"Neither one of you are going anywhere." Natalie said firmly, "Thirty-eight classes, Scott. I had to beg the superintendent!" she then looked at the Bellator girl, "And you— Aspen! Harvard acceptees should not be ditching half way through the day!"

"But Mrs Martin—" Aspen whined in defence.
"Scott is the sworn protector of Beacon Hills!" Stiles added, flailing his arms about in his usual fashion.

"He can protect it at 3:30." she shot back bluntly.

Stiles sighed as the three turned to walk back to their class. Natalie watched them as they walked away from her, and Stiles lowered his voice to whisper to the other two.

"We're not waiting 'til 3:30."

The trio finally arrived at the Tuner family's house in Stiles' jeep. They all hopped out of the blue vehicle, staring up at what looked like an abandoned house. Aspen felt an immense wave of deja vu in that moment, to when the three of them went searching for the Hale house back in sophomore year and found it in the middle of the woods, burnt to a crisp.

So much had changed since then, but some things stayed exactly the same.

"That's not creepy at all." Stiles muttered under his breath, giving the other two a look before they headed inside.
