"I'D ALMOST SAY YOU ENJOY THIS, SCOTT." Douglas chuckled to himself as the McCall boy appeared at the diverter again, "The pursuit of utterly futile endeavours."

"Step back from the diverter..." Scott said lowly with a threatening tone and glance, "Or I'll make you step back."

"Now that's the German way of doing things." Douglas laughed, turning his head over his shoulder at Scott, "You would have made an excellent Nazi Youth."

"Maybe you didn't hear me—" Scott growled, his eyes shining red, "I said step back."

"And maybe you didn't hear me." Douglas shot back, shifting into his part-wolf, part-lion supernatural form. His eyes shone luminous green as he emitted his claws from the beds of fingernails.

And then as Douglas growled, what appeared to be hundreds of ghost riders appeared at his beck and call, slowly gathering around the True Alpha.

After reuniting, clinging to each other until they no longer could, Aspen and Stiles held each other's hands as they rushed through the halls of the school, trying to get back to the diverter with Scott.

But just as Aspen was about to burst the doors open, she heard a voice calling her name— a voice she never thought she'd hear again.

"Aspen..."

Aspen spun around on her feet in shock, her eyes widening as her eyebrows quivered, her hand unconsciously slipping out of Stiles' grip.

Aspen turned down the hall, staring at where she had heard the voice, and then slowly started walking in that direction, as Stiles tried to stop her.

"Aspen, I know that's you..."

"Theo?" Aspen's voice came out as a whisper as her eyebrows quivered with narrowed eyes, "How..."

"Asp, listen to me." Stiles said, "That's not Theo, Theo is dead."

"I know, I'm the one that killed him..." Aspen whispered, still looking down the end of the hall, "But— but that is his voice..."

"No, Asp— it's the Wild Hunt." Stiles said, trying to hold her hand again to snap her back to reality, "They're tricking you. Asp, believe me, please. The Wild Hunt brought him back, but he isn't real. He's dead— he died all over again the second we brought you back."

Aspen then finally turned around back to Stiles, her head tilted with her eyebrows furrowed.

"What do you mean, 'brought him back'?"
Aspen then heard footsteps of him, turning around the corner and getting closer to her and Stiles.
