"HOW COME NO ONE'S SAYING ANYTHING?" Malia sighed as she, Isaac, Scott and Argent were walking through the reserve after finding the bullet fired at the hellhound, "Silver, copper, lead. Who cares what a bullet's made out of? Don't they all do the same thing?"

"Well, there's a myth that a silver bullet can kill a werewolf." Scott explained to Malia, "But— it is just a myth..."

"Silver's too soft for bullets," Chris informed, "they don't fly straight."

"Well—if you didn't fire it, then who did?" Malia asked Chris with confusion over who could've killed Halwyn, the hellhound that recently broke out of Eichen.

"Someone who doesn't know what they're doing..." Scott murmured, getting a seriously uneasy feeling about the whole thing.

"Someone dangerous." said Chris, coming to the same feeling as Scott— that whatever was coming their way was not good. "A new hunter."

Later that night, Lydia had returned from saving Parrish from an orderly in Eichen House, coming back with some unsettling news for the other three. They were all gathered in Scott's dimly lit kitchen, every single one of them wearing a solemn, uneasy expression.

"He killed every supernatural in the Closed Unit?" Scott murmured in question to Lydia, "All of them?"

"He said he couldn't see it any other way..." Lydia said, feeling a chill of nerves run through her body.

"Well, I've got another way." Malia scoffed with sarcasm, "You don't kill everyone."

There was a brief pause before Lydia spoke up again, her eyes staring at a spot on the floor, "I think he was afraid."

Scott then turned to Lydia, his eyes slowly widening with some realisation as his mind began putting all of the pieces together.

"The wolves, the rats." said Scott, "It—it keeps coming back to the same thing, fear."

"But what is everyone afraid of?" Malia asked with a confused look, not understanding where the conversation was going.

Scott pondered the question for a moment before he set the bullet down on the kitchen table, another chilling realisation crashing into him like a wave on the shore.

"...Us."

Isaac, Malia and Lydia all looked at Scott— the realisation not only scaring them but upsetting them too. All they ever tried to do was protect and save the people of this town— but when it came down to it, that didn't matter.

"We don't know what fear would do to somebody." Scott elaborated, "I mean, it can change them. They'll look at us differently. They'll do things that they've never done before..."
