ASPEN HAD EXPERIENCED LONELINESS BEFORE. Many times. When she was in Eichen House— both times. When she and Stiles went days without talking— and Scott had iced her out too. She was no stranger to the feeling of isolation.

But this was by the far the worst.

Ever since Peter got out, she'd gone back to going days on end without speaking, surrounded by comatose strangers. She didn't know how long it had been—she guessed perhaps a week.

So the feeling that she got when she heard someone calling her name—and not just anybody, but him—was beyond indescribable.

"Aspen?"

She was stood over by the board of train timings when she heard it. Her head snapped around, trying to figure out what direction it was coming from. Her heart stopped momentarily, wondering if she'd snapped and gone crazy from the isolation, she began to wonder if she was really starting to hallucinate voices.

But then a few seconds later, she heard it again.

"Aspen?"

"Stiles?" her voice came out as a shaky whisper from the pure shock of hearing it. She immediately began to walk pacingly, trying to decipher where his voice came from.

But then a monotone voice came through the PA speaker system, causing everyone else to suddenly stand up and start moving.

"Attention all passengers—the train will be arriving in twenty-five minutes."

Every person who had been comatose and bone-still seconds prior stood up from their seats and started walking towards the archway.

"Aspen?"

But Aspen didn't care about whatever it was they were interested in—she just cared about his voice—and what hearing it meant.

She tried to weave her way through the mob of swarming people, but no-one was moving out of her way despite her polite 'excuse me's. She bumped into people, apologised—but not a single person even registered her, they were in some trance as they all walked towards the arch.

And then a gunshot went off, right into the roof.

"Give the girl some room!" she heard a man yell, and boy did that familiar voice knock some air out of her lungs.

She turned over her shoulder at the sound of the gun firing—never feeling more relieved for her eyes to land on her brother.

"Ace?" she gasped, a smile taking over her lips as everyone stopped, making way for her to walk over to her brother.

"Oh, thank God." Ace smiled ear to ear, engulfing his little sister in the tightest hug, "Oh, I found you. I can't believe I found you."

"What the hell are you doing here?" Aspen asked, still in shock, "You—you're supposed to be in South America! With Derek!"
