***********

"Giddy up, giddy up," Angie mumbled to Midnight, her horse. The sky was a mixture of pink and orange. Such a beautiful scenery, but there was no time to enjoy it.

Angie had to get to the battlefield, where the war was held. BOOM! BOOM!

"I think I'm going to go deaf."

As Angie neared the battlefield, she became more scared. It was hard to keep track of everything that just happened with all these loud explosions.

All she knew was that the express suddenly disappeared into the forest with her horse and Angie couldn't find her.

There was only one thing in Angie's mind: Get help.

That was right, Angie was going to the battlefield to get him. Sure, she hated the idea of disturbing everyone and thoughts of turning back kept popping in and out of her head.

What if we lose? she thought as her horse leaped over some rocks. Then it'll all my fault!

But she still couldn't bear to turn back. The express could be in danger, she might need help! Someone must be willing to help the express, right?

Angie couldn't save the express herself, she was a lowly scared frightened weak maid!

She needed to get help!

When the battlefield finally slid into view, the sight shook her to the bones. The place where she once called home was a whole mess. No plants, no trees, nothing green. Nothing from mother nature could be seen.

The houses have all been destroyed, the only remains were little bits of bricks.

"LAUNCH ATTACK!" Someone screamed but his voice was soon covered by loud bombs exploding. Angie was standing on the right side of the battlefield, where all Cedric's knights were firing bombs and fighting.

"Watch out!" Suddenly a knight poked his head out from behind a rock and yelled at Angie.

Angie, still sitting on the horse, looking back and her face turned pale at the sight of a giant rock just on top of her, about to land.

Midnight yelped and shook Angie off her back.

"Ugh!" Angie fell to the ground but the ground was slippery so she slid away and bumped into a pile of broken bricks.

Midnight scurried off into the woods.

BAM!

The giant rock landed and dust flew everywhere.

The last thing Angie heard were her own coughs.

When Angie opened her eyes again, she found herself in a small tent behind some tall bricks. Her whole body was covered with cuts and bruises and her once smooth white skin was now dirty with mud.

There was a bag beside her filled with weapons.

Angie tried to push herself up, but when she moved her arm just a little bit, she felt pain shooting her arm.

"Ack!"

There was bandage around her forehead and a few on some of the deep cuts.
