Halley's pov
I'm walking home when a loud car pulls beside me and the window rolls down "comet cmon in! I'll give you a ride" it's Billy. That stupid smirk on his face again as always. I shake my head "it's not far. I can walk" he furrows his eyebrows "with all the shit going on now? There's people goin missing and turnin up dead or fucked up and you're walking? Get in comet." I send him a smile "I'm okay Billy really...get max home" seeing her in the back seat. He's told me about his stepsister. He's not happy about her and her mom but he tolerates it. He tells me "get in the car Halley. I'm not leaving you here to walk alone. Why are you walking anyway? Where's king Steve?" I chuckle "he's with Nancy so I'm walking" he furrows his eyebrows "he ditched you to walk home alone while people are going missing leg and right to hang out with his girlfriend?" I nod "yeah"

He doesn't seem happy about it. He says "get in. If Steve won't drive you I will" what? I shake my head "I can't ask you to do that Billy" he chuckles "it's a good thing you didn't ask then huh sugar?" That smirk on his face him smoking a cigarette. Max speaks up "I don't mind! You seem cool! Steve talks about you a bit!" I chuckle and tell him "it's not that far I can manage" he replies "stop being stubborn. Get in." I shake my head and keep walking and he chuckles and I hear the car stop and suddenly I'm picked up and thrown over his shoulder and I slap his back "Billy!" He puts me in the car and gets in and locks the door "it's what you get for being stubborn"

I say "I could walk Billy. It's not a big deal" "it is when people are turnin up dead after goin missing. We're friends right? Yeah well friends drive friends to and from home when their brother is an asshole and people are getting killed" he replies and I send him a smile "thanks" and I turn seeing max "hi" she smiles "hi. You're prettier than what I've heard you are...wow" I blush "uh...thanks" Billy speaks "I hate to agree with the little shit but she's right...the rumors about you doesn't do you justice..." I blush "I uh...thank you" he winks "no problem"

I give him directions and he and I make small talk and I get to know max a little. She's a good kid. I can tell. He parks in front of my house and I say "thank you" and I kiss his cheek and he freezes staring asi get out the car and max taps his shoulder and he snaps out of it and says "see you in a bit comet" and I smile and go inside to see Steve. The hell?
"Why did Billy Hargrove drive you home Halley?" He asks annoyed. "Because you wouldn't" I say

And I ask "the hell are you even doing here anyway shouldn't you be with Nancy" "she ended up pulling out of the plans but that's not the point! Point is that you came home with Billy hargrove of all people! You saw what he did to me!" He snaps. I roll my eyes "yeah well you told me to make friends and I did." "I didn't mean him Halley! He's an asshole!" He huffs and I mutter "and you're not?"

He heard me. I can tell "what is that supposed to mean Halley?!" He asks following me. "It means that you're an asshole Steve!" I snap and close the door on him. He opens it and says "how am I the bad guy here? You're riding in an assholes car! You know he doesn't actually like you right and is just going to end just how you and Emerson did" I glare "don't you dare Steve! Get out!" He freezes realizing "I-I'm sorry" "no you're not. You're never sorry Steve. Not really. Get out. What I do and who I hang out with isn't your business. It hasn't been since we started highschool" I huff. "You're my twin sister of course it's my business!" he tells me. Really? When was the last time we even actually spent time together?

I sigh "it's not. Now go I have things to do" and he tells me "this isn't over" "it is" I tell him and he leaves and I sigh. I do my homework and study a bit and then get ready for the party wearing

I've had it for a bit...but it's a bit out of my comfort zone. I hear Billy park and I hear Steve "Oh hell no!" Shit. I walk downstairs and step between them "Steve leave it!" He glares at Billy "the hell is he doing here Halley?!"

Billy smirks as always "I'm takin her to the party tonight Harrington. We're gonna have a fun time and I'm gonna drop her off right at this door right here...And not make her walk in the dark when peoples going missing left and right" Billy looks me up and down and whistles "comet you look fuckin delicious" I blush Steve shakes his head "you're not taking her anywhere!" Billy asks "you hear something Halley?" I shake my head with a chuckle and he asks "you ready?" I nod and we leave ignoring Steve's protests.
