Billy's pov It's a few days later and she finally decided to come back to school not that Eddie and I left her alone. We'd ditch to spend time with her. I tell max "sit in the back we're getting Halley" she smiles "that your girlfriend?" I scoff at the kid "shut it" I get to her house and Steve comes over "you know she left already right hargrove?" That fucking brat. I huff "I'll get her" and peel off and I drive beside her "thought we agreed I'd be picking you up from now on comet?" She says "no. You agreed. I didn't" why is she so difficult?
I say "get in" "it's not that far" she insists and max chuckles and I give her a look. "I didn't ask. I told you to get in" "I'll pass" she says she looks real good today. Perfect even.

I say "don't make me get out the car and get you Halley" she looks at me and I can see the mischievous glint in her eye and I huff "don't you dare" she runs. She's gonna be the death of me I swear to god. I've got half the mind to take her over my knee. I speed after her in the car and park in front of her far enough so she doesn't see me quite yet and thinks I left. I get out the car and lean against it with my arms crossed.
She eventually gets to me and stops short and "nope not happening" when she turns around to run again. I grab her arm and toss her over my shoulder and she says "let me go I can walk" kicking and I swat her ass "behave princess!" I scold. She whines and mutters "okay" that's all it took? A spank? I set her down and open the car door "get in" "no I can walk" "I wasn't asking you I was telling you to get in" she pokes my bare chest, due to my shirt being open "and I wasn't asking you Billy I was telling you that I'm walking" cute.
"Tough shit. Get in the car before I make-" I start and she runs off again, and I follow her easily and throw her over my shoulder again and I see max laughing in the backseat. Any other girl would be excited to ride with me in my car. But she's not any other girl. She's Halley. Her stubbornness is part of what I like about her. I swat her ass twice and she whines "ouch" "yeah well if you behaved and stopped being a brat and got in the car I wouldn't have to spank you comet" I huff and she swats my ass and I huff "babygirl you don't want to play that game with me" she swats my ass again and I swat hers and we go back and forth as I walk "okay okay! I yield! Damn you have heavy hands" i chuckle and soothingly caress her ass and she shuffles on my shoulder and I can tell her face is beet red right now.
I let her down again and keep a hold on her gripping the brown hair at the back of her head making her look into my eyes "now be a good girl and get in the car and let me drive you to and from school. Every day. Unless Eddie wants to give you a ride as well...okay? I won't be too nice the next time you make me chase you sweets" she blushes admitting defeat "okay billy" I kiss her forehead and mutter "good girl" and I open her door releasing her and she gets in with her bag and I close the door and we drive to school max giggling.
I huff "shut it max!" She tells Halley "I've never seen him not take a no as an answer and chase someone before! Never seen his ego so low" I shoot max a glare and Halley chuckles "some people need a ego check" I look at her "hey! My ego is fine! I just don't want you walkin around when people are disappearing and dying left and right! Plus hopper gave orders" I smirk. She sighs "yeah yeah yeah" we drop max off and I open her door for her and take her hand in mine and she freezes I look around and see them all staring. I pull her to me and snap "the fuck are you all looking at!" And their gazes leave her and she sighs in relief and Eddie runs over "Hales!" Scooping her up spinning her "hi ed" she greets laughing. I smile at the sound and he puts her down and asks "how you feeling?" "I'm okay. Much better" she tells him and he nods and we talk and walk and I note that she's not following. She's in a daze almost tears on her face now. We each wipe a tear "princess?" I ask worried. Eddie says "hales?" She snaps out of it and latches onto Eddie and cries. He runs his fingers through her hair as I run my hand up and down her back. "What happened sweets? Huh?" She sniffles wiping her face and mutters "I remembered...I remembered what happened at the party" oh shit.
