Halley's pov
It's been a week and the boys and I are closer than ever. They're great. I keep waiting for a red flag to raise and something to happen but nothing. It's common knowledge that emerson has been arrested. Hoppers called me and told me that the papers have been officially filed and the court date for trial has been set as well. It's in 3 months.

Emerson has the best lawyer in the state. But hopper says the odds of it meaning anything is slim to none with the voice recorded confession. Emerson's friends say shit but billys glare and Eddie's words makes em stop. I kiss their cheeks and say "see you tomorrow" Billy turns "in that case" and he kisses me softly and I move my lips against his and we break away him smirking as always and me blushing. Eddie kisses me next and he breaks away "see you in the morning beautiful" I nod "yeah"

I head inside and hear the car pull off and furrow my eyebrows seeing suitcases. I head to the sitting room and see my parents. My dad sees me first "you're home late" I reply "I went out to eat" "last I checked you were grounded" he says glaring. "You only said I wasn't allowed to use the car, or go out to a party" I reply. "Think it was self explanatory that having boyfriends and going out to eat wasn't allowed" he snaps. My mother says "you should be focusing on your studies" "for what? I'm not going to college. I'm staying here and becoming a cop and doing some good" I say.

"Then say goodbye to your college fund" he snaps. I reply "you mean the money I saved up throughout the years? My money. You can't take it" I won't let them. I need that money to help Billy. He says "you disobeyed us. You're running around town being a whore! Again! Did you not learn from the party fiasco that no boy will ever want you?! They're boys they're going to use you until they can't!" A tear falls from my eye at his words "Billy and Eddie are not like that! And the party wasn't my fault! I was drugged and Emerson was planning to rape me! How can you say it's my fault? He's in jail right now and the trial is coming up we're gonna win it because we have him on a recording saying that he did it and his attentions to rape me" he slaps me and I fall to the ground and Steve comes in. My father snaps "I work for Mr. Niles! Drop those silly charges now! I can't get fired because you decided to be a whore" Steve snaps at my dad "are you crazy? He was going to rape her! He took photos of her without her consent and spread them around school and did worse that she won't say. And you're punishing her?" He helps me up and kisses my temple "she's lying! She's going to go down to that station and say so and drop the charges" no. I shake my head "no" I'm hit again even with Steve trying to stop him "you're going to do it. And you're going to give us a call when it's done." Steve tells me "get outta here" handing me the car key and I run to my room and grab clothes and my money and leave. Where can I even go. My lip is busted and bleeding and my cheek is bruising already. I ignore his banging on the window and peel out. I end up at Eddie's but I don't go in I lean against the steering wheel and just cry. A knock on the window makes me jump I look over and see a worried Eddie. I wipe my eyes and cut the engine and he opens the door "hey" he says and I sniffle "hey" he unbuckles my seatbelt and he asks "what happened?" I sniffle and shake my head. "I'm gonna take you inside alright sweetheart?" I nod and wrap my arms around his neck as he lifts me out the car, bridal style. I hide my face into his neck and he kisses my forehead "I got you hales. It's okay" I mutter "I didn't know where else to go Eddie" "I'm happy you came to me princess" he tells me walking into the trailer to his room in the back.
