Eddie's pov
I've never seen her like this before. She's shaking and won't talk. Someone hit her. I've been bullied and beat up before but she was at home. Billy would know better how to get through to her. I reach for her hand and she flinches breaking my heart. "It's okay sweetheart. It's just me. Eddie. I won't hurt you." I kiss her knuckles and take in what damage was done. My sweet Angel. She didn't deserve this.

"What happened?" I ask her gently and she just shakes her head and cries. I reach and wipe her tears and she flinches. "You're safe now Halley. Promise" I tell her and she nods and I kiss her head gently. "I'll be back shortly" she nods. I go to the phone and call the hargrove house. Billy actually answers "hello?" "Billy it's Halley" I sigh. "What do you mean eddie? We dropped her off at home" he asks worry in his voice. I sigh "something happened and now she's here cryin, shaking, she hardly lets me touch her, she's been beat up a bit Billy and I don't know what to do or how to handle it. She's real afraid man" I can hear his anger in his breath and his grip tighten on the phone "I'm on my way" hanging up. I put down the phone and go back to her and sit beside her and say "baby you have to talk to me okay? I can't help you unless you speak"

She climbs into my lap latching onto me and I caress her back holding her. She mutters "my dad" her parents are home? I nod and kiss her shoulder softly "you drove here" she nods and I say "with the state you were in you could've gotten in a crash" worried and she mutters "I just had to get away" I kiss her temple "be careful" she nods and I hear fires squealing and billys loud car making her jump. I mutter "it's okay. It's Billy" she nods and relaxes slightly.
