Halley's pov
I'm with Billy...I never thought I'd open up to dating again after what happened. I made a rule not to...but with him it was easy. I mean how can it not be? We find Eddie and he rushes over and hugs me tightly "where were you? Are you okay?" I nod "yeah I'm okay. I was in the library" he sees Billy's and my hands that are intertwined and he grins "made a move eh?"

Billy nods "yeah I did" he grins "happy for you both! Really man" I smile and they hug and Eddie says "sit! I got you food" I grin "thanks" Billy says "baby I have to do something for my dad after school so I can't drive you home today" kissing my temple as we eat "okay I'll walk" Eddie shakes his head "I'll drive you. It's what we're here for! Cmon it'll be fun!" I nod with a smile "okay."

Later

I kiss Billy's lips softly and tell him "have a good practice okay?" He Nods with a smile "of course" and I find Eddie and grin "cmon" he nods and we go to his van and he asks "how are you doing really?" I ask him "can we drop this tape off with hopper?" He nods "yeah of course. You didn't answer my question though" "I'm okay. Just bothered that he still thinks he has a claim on me. He's pissed because I'm moving on finally and doesn't like it." I huff. He places his ring clad hand on my thigh giving it a reassuring squeeze bringing chills to my spine "everything's gonna turn out just fine sweets. Promise. You're gonna be just fine and that asshole will be nothing but a distant memory. Okay? You're strong to have confronted him. I just would've rather you had clued us in on your plan so we can be there but distant just to watch and step in if needed" he replies.

I nod "that would've been a smart thing to do but I was caught up in just wanting an answer." He hasn't moved his hand. I take in the intricate designs on his rings entranced with them. He says "I get it. Just promise you won't throw yourself into possible danger like that again hales?" I nod intertwining my pinky with his "promise" he nods and parks and I grab the tape and get out the van and he follows "so you and Billy?" I nod with a smile as he holds the door open for me "yeah....it just...happened"

He smiles "and you're happy?" I find myself nodding. "Yeah" I ask "what about you? You find someone?" He nods with a smile "yeah...she's beautiful Hales. Smart, funny, been through some shit she didn't deserve but it just made her a better person. She's perfect" I grin "I'm happy for you" and a nagging part of me mutters no I'm not. But that can't be true right? I'm with Billy. I'm happy. I can't want them both. I can't have them both. It'd ruin every thing. "Yeah" he nods and hopper says "twice in one day miss me already kid?" Hugging me I chuckle "something like that" and I hand him the tape and he asks "what's this Halley?"

I say "a confession. I know how he is. He'd never confess to it. He'd lawyer up and his mom and dad will dig him out of being charged...a confession would throw that possibility out right?" He nods "yeah...did he hurt you again? Touch you?" I shake my head "no, he didn't" he nods and says "come with me" and I nod and we sit as he plays the tape "it's solid...clear. Good work. Maybe you should look into actually being a coo under cover or something kid" and I chuckle "maybe" he nods "head on home. I'll call you and check in later. And with any updates" I nod "thanks Jimmy" he chuckles "any time Halley" and Eddie drives me home and we talk and listen to music. He parks and I go to get out the van and he stops me and tugs me to him and kisses me.

What. The. Fuck. I melt into him and then pull away "Eddie what? Why? You like someone else! I'm with Billy! Billy! Your friend and-" I shake my head "I can't do this" and he says "Halley wait!" But I rush inside past Steve and to my room.

Eddie's pov
I curse and hit my steering wheel. Fuck. I fucked that all up. I was talking about her! Of course I was. She's all I think about. All the time. I sigh and head to the trailer. Billy comes in "you take the time I gave you to make a move?" I nod "yeah. I kissed her" he nods "good job man! What?" He asks seeing my stressed look.

"She ran away from me Billy" maybe she actually does only like Billy. And I'm just the friend. "What do you mean she ran?" Billy asks and I sigh "she freaked out! She kissed back slightly but pulled away talked about how she's with you and couldn't do it and ran." He nods "she kissed back though eddie" "she thinks she cheated on you and feels horrible
Billy. I don't want her to feel horrible about kissing me." I huff thinking about her. Billy lays his hand on my knee "she doesn't know we're okay with sharing. That's all eddie. Once she knows, and comes to terms with it. She won't feel like she's a cheater. She'll feel real good about bein with both of us" standing and I ask "what if that's not what she wants what if you're all she wants" "that's bullshit and you know it eddie munson. She kissed you back man. And I can see how she looks at you. We just gotta talk and let her know she ain't do anything wrong." He says and asks "you coming?" I sigh "Steve was home" "who the fuck cares about him? She got a window. Cmon" he says and we get in his car and head out.
