Billy's pov
How can I be so fucking stupid?! It's later in the day and I can't find her anywhere. Neither can eddie. It's lunch time and we haven't seen her since the morning. Not in the halls, we peeked into her classes and still nothing. We've had eyes on Emerson the whole time though so we know she's just hiding out somewhere maybe. Or she walked home which isn't a good thing.

Eddie says "try the library, I'll try the art room and music room" I nod and I find her "we've been lookin all over the place for you comet" I say sitting next to her. She nods reading. I take the book and she lets out a "hey!" I say "can you please just talk to me?" "About what? That making sure that I have a confession taped so the guy who drugged and planned to rape me will go away was stupid?" She asks and she continues "that because I'm small-"

I cut her off "I'm sorry. Okay? You being small doesn't make you pathetic and he's fucking stupid and so is everyone else for making you think that way about yourself. You're not pathetic and weak. You're brave and strong comet. Okay? I'd never call you those things. But you are small. It's easy for me to toss you over my shoulder and get you into my car Halley. What I meant was that he's bigger than you and because he's a male, an athletic one at that...he's stronger and what you did could've went completely wrong for you. I just want you to be okay. And it's hard for me to be okay when you put yourself in danger like that, the thought of what he coulda done just made me so angry and I lashed out at you and shouldn't have. I'm sorry comet"

She hugs me and I pull her onto my lap and she mutters "I'm sorry too" I ask "what for? You don't have anything to be sorry for comet." "For snapping and not thinking about how you would feel about it. We're friends and friends should care about that sort of thing" she says softly chewing on that lip of hers. I use my thumb to release it and say "you have nothing to apologize about comet. Promise"

Man her lips are soft. Just wanna kiss em and make her ours. She rests her forehead on mine "I do. I shouldn't have snapped at you for caring Billy. How I did what I did was stupid. And I should've thought it-" fuck this. I think and kiss her into silence. She freezes and I move my lips against hers hoping she feels the same and wants it too. I was right her lips are soft.

And eventually they move against mine shyly. I pull her closer and deepen the kiss and she follows my lead. If I could live like this I would. I break the kiss and take her in. Her cheeks are flushed red and she's biting her lip again avoiding eye contact and she asks "why?" I make her look at me "because I like you more than a friend should and I wanted to." A smile breaks out on her flawless face "really? This isn't a joke or anything? I mean I'm not popular...you and Eddie are my only-" I kiss her again and she melts into me and I mutter "I'm sure and darlin...this isn't a joke. It's real. I promise you that"

she nods "okay"
She blushes more realizing that I'm her chair and I grin "it's alright baby I quite like you on top of me" she blushes more "stop" "why? You're absolutely beautiful when you're red like this" I coo. She blushes more if possible and she gets up and I grab her smaller hand in mine "cmon Eddie's probably really worried about you by now since he couldn't find you" she nods "okay" and I kiss her temple and she asks "what does this mean Billy? The kiss?" Gnawing on her lip...a nervous habit she has  I've noticed. I smirk down at her as she leans against her locker looking up at me "it means your mine Halley." She blushes "you want that?" I curl her hair behind her ear "there's nothing I've ever wanted more" I tell her and she hugs me "mine" she says with a smile undoubtedly on her face. She breaks away "sorry...it's just that Emerson never let me-"

I caress her thick lips and say "it's alright Darlin. I'm just as much yours as you are mine" she looks happy at that. She playfully nips the pad of my thumb and I chuckle and move it and peck her lips ignoring the stares "wanna get lunch?" She nods "yeah"
