Halley's pov
We drive back to school with hopper following and I send the boys a smile and kiss their cheeks and say "thank you...for everything" I want to find Emerson and ask why. The papers aren't filed yet. Not completely. So if I'm going to ask and find out it'd be now. I get out the car and head to my locker the boys and I don't have a class together right now. I go and get a late pass as well.

Eddie's pov
She kissed us. She just kissed us. I'm frozen with a stupid smile on my face and Billy is the same. She just kissed us. It takes me a bit longer to snap out of it than Billy. He gets out the car and I do the same. Hopper asks "so what's the plan?" That anger sets back in my gut. That asshole date rape drugged her and for what? What could anyone get outta doing that?

Sex isn't enjoyable when the other party is pretty much limp like they're dead. Not that I'd know. But I don't see how it can be. He already hurt her once. Destroyed her actually. She didn't deserve it. He took a bet. Him and his friend Jason Carver said that whoever gets in her pants first gets 150$. Stupid. Carver didn't stand a chance. Emerson changed his personality so it suit hers and my princess, my hales fell. He had sex with her and the whole time he had that girl on the side. I didn't care enough to learn her name. He got what he wanted and set hales up to see the girl and him during sex. And she did. At a party.

Part of the reason why she doesn't like them I guess. He made fun of her when she said that she loved him. He should've been honored that a girl like Halley Elara Harrington fell in love with an asshole like him. He told the school about the ordeal and Halley didn't show her face for over a week. I'd find her out at skull rock and she'd be crying her eyes out and try and say she wasn't. I'd hold her and let her know she had someone on her side.

Her parents had an obsession with astronomy. Her name proved so. Halley's Comet is actually passing this year I think. Billy would know better than I do. Elara is a moon of Jupiter. She tends to hate her name but I think it's beautiful. People tend to say Hal-Ley. Like Halle berry. But it's Halley like hailey. Billy says "we're gonna find him and beat his ass and get some answers and hand him over after chief"

"Not on school grounds guys. The principal will suspend you. And demand a charge of some sort. The guys an asshole" he huffs. And we nod "okay" he sighs "she don't seem like she's doing to good...keep an eye on her?" hopper cares about her and she seems to really like him as well. We nod "of course." He nods "any idea what her folks said to her?" Billy huffs tossing his cigarette "they blamed her for it because 'she shouldn't have been there' and grounded her". Hopper doesn't like it either "what the hell?" I nod "yeah. I get the feeling her parents are always hard on her. She didn't seem too surprised that they said it...just bothered"

Hopper huffs "that kid deserves better" we agree "she does"

Halley's pov
I see him and walk over he's alone good. I ask "why?" He asks "why what?" "Why did you drug me at the party?" I snap and he says "I don't know what you're talking about" looking almost panicked...almost. "I remember. You talked to me in the kitchen. We were alone. I looked away from my cup for 5 seconds to get ice and after that I walked away and the drugs set in. Why?" I snap.

He says "when I left you broken I didn't expect you to move on. With the head of my team and the freak. Them? Halley when I left you, I didn't think you'd move on. Ever. Didn't think you'd find someone never mind two people who actually put up with you. Just figured I'd remind you who you belong to. I was planning on fucking you too but you walked away and hargrove got in the way. Don't look at me like that it'd have meant nothing still...I can tell by the way you look my way that you're still obsessed with me...it's pathetic"

I smack him "fuck you." And I walk away to my next class that both the boys are in. They look at me and all I can think about is what Emerson just said. Billy asks "what's wrong comet
You look like you're gonna be sick." "Yeah hales you don't look too good" Eddie agrees touching my head "no fever" he tells Billy. I write what happened twice and rip the paper handing them the notes. Billy says "you confronted him? By yourself? He already drugged you and you went by yourself? He coulda hurt you Halley? What were you thinking?"

"I was thinking" I say and hand him the tape I got of him confessing. "Now he can't say he didn't do it. And I got answers as to why." I continue. He sighs "it was a stupid thing to do Halley. You already know he's a fuckin predator and sees you as a target and you thought it was a good idea to go off alone and confront him and get him to confess? It was stupid!" Eddie says "it wasn't the smartest move to do it alone but it was smart Billy. We got everything we need. We know this guy isn't going to confess"

Billy snaps "I don't give a shit. I'd beat him until he fucking does. I care about you Halley and I want you safe and away from this guy! You didn't need to do any of that you didn't need to put yourself in danger" "it's over and done with and I'm okay! What's the big deal Billy? Nothing happened" I huff. He turns my face to his "the big deal is the fact that he coulda taken you! You're small and he coulda fuckin hurt you! That's the big deal! The thought of him getting his hands on you fuckin kills me. Probably kills Eddie too!"

I huff "yeah" small and pathetic is what a lot of people describe me as. I'm just waiting for them to do it too. Billy calms at my response and huffs "I'm sorry that I care about you and what that asshole may have in store okay? If that's what you're upset about I'm sorry" Eddie replies "that's not it Billy." His eyes on me and he touches my hand his rings cooling my skin "he didn't mean it. Okay? You're a far cry from what they call you hales. He just like I don't want you near that asshole. Okay? That's why he got worked up. Promise no more missions alone okay? We could've gotten his confession together okay?" I nod and the bell rings and I get up and go.

Eddie's pov
Billy sighs "I fucked it up didn't I?" I shake my head "no. She's got a lot going on Billy and peoples said a lot about and to her so words matter" "what did I say wrong?" He asks me watching her go. Everyone made fun of her size. And called it and her pathetic. Now when people call her small I think she waits with a bated breath for the second part to come. She's not only small in her size but in the way she carries herself as well. She's shy and often meek as well. So it was a shock when she started seeing Emerson. And when the fall out happened he called her pathetic. He called her weak and easy and small. And he called her pathetic again according to what she said. And Billy called her small.

I sigh "you called her small" he furrows his eyebrows "but she is small. She's only about 5'3 and about 110 pounds...she's small eddie" she's 7 inches shorter than us. It's adorable. I sigh "when the break up happened what did they label her as?" I ask him. He thinks for a minute and pinches the bridge of his nose "small, easy and pathetic. Fuck" I clasp his shoulder "just apologize Billy. No one ever has for saying it. Let her know you didn't mean it that way" he nods and we go our separate ways.
