How dare they. How utterly dare they cheat on you. You didn't deserve it. You did everything you could to keep that relationship going, only to find that they were secretly seeing others on the side. That dirty rat. You wish you could strangle them, but you couldn't. Instead, you were running down the street. Running to the only place you felt like you could feel safe: into Doc's arms.

WHAM.

The door swung open, as you bolted to Doc's study. There he was, incredibly startled by the loud crash of the door, but you sprung into his arms, sobbing loudly.

"Y/n?? What on earth is the matter? Shh, shh, it's alright, it's alright. Deep breaths."

You took his advice, breathing heavily and slowly. Finally, you regained your emotions.

"There now. Everything is going to be alright, ok? Now, tell me what happened."

"That person I was dating... T-they cheated on me.." you burst back into tears, crying into his coat.

"Oh, y/n, I'm so sorry that happened." He said, his voice soothing and soft as clouds.

"They were horrible, anyway..." You sobbed. Doc pulled you into a hug, making you calm down a lot.

"There, there... Do you want to do something to take your mind off the whole situation?"

"Y-yes please.." you sniffled.

The radio flicked on to a slow song. You looked up in surprise, as Doc took your hand gently, and bowed.

"Care to dance?"

You smiled placed your hands on his shoulders. As you two waltzed around the room, you laid your head on his chest, listening to the soft hum of his main power source. It was oddly soothing. The room was filled with the soft glow of computers and lights, making the faint glow of screens blend in perfectly with the aura of the room.

Soon enough, the song was drawing to a close and you looked up at Doc one last time. At the final note, you two leaned in and kissed each other softly. Pulling back, you looked him in the eyes.

"Doc, I love you."

"I love you too, y/n."
