Ok, so this one was really fun! I'll admit, I'm entirely sure in how to write from a short perspective, but I tried! I hope it turned out alright!
~~~
Being short was the worst. Not only did you get mocked for it, it also had practical drawbacks, like high shelves. No matter how much you tried, you couldn't reach high shelves, so usually, you'd ask others if they could grab it for you. The worst place for this scenario? None other than the Library, also known as: your worst nightmare. Most of your favourite books were located on the higher bookshelves, and the ladders were broken, so you had to do what you could to try and get them. Today was no exception. The next novel of your favourite book series was finally on the shelves. Finally!! But, shelf problems. Noooo...
You stood there, reaching as high as you could, yet still unsuccessful. You were about to give up, until you heard a voice behind you.
"Hey, you need your tall handsome rogue of a boyfriend to get that for you?" A guy stood towering over you, fashioned with Gold chains and a cool jacket. As you expected, Blazer had followed you around, expecting to be of service by helping you get things off tall shelves. You didn't mind him helping you in the privacy of your apartment, but in a public library? No, no, it wasn't going to make you look good. Making you look as sincere and blank faced as possible, you looked at him and replied in the most agitated tone you could make.
"No. I can deal with it just fine." Granted, it came out much colder than you'd intended, but it got your message across. He stared at you, wide eyed, a startled expression covered his screen. Then he turned away, letting you struggle again. Out of pity, you snuck a glance at him again, to see him holding back tears. Was his ego really that fragile?
"Ok, maybe I need a bit of help. Please?"
"Please, what?" He said smugly, as if he'd completely changed his emotions in the span of a millisecond.
"Please may my incredibly helpful handsome rogue of a boyfriend help me get this book down?"
He smiled, reached up, plucked the book from the shelf and handed it to you, along with a kiss. To this gesture, you couldn't help but blush. But, you did pray that this wouldn't happen again...
