I need to write more Zbaltazar stories, because the poor man doesn't get much. Anyway, here!

"You've meditated before, right?" Zbaltazar asked, expecting a negative answer. Not that you hadn't tried before, but you didn't really see the point in it.
"I have, but not like... That." Skeptically, you gestured to his criss-crossed legs, earning a chuckle from him
"It's not a different type of meditation if you cross your legs, believe me. Meditation is different for different beings. So, how about we find what's good for you?" He patted a space opposite him, beckoning you to sit, to which you did. The crossed legged way of sitting hurt your ankles slightly, but you could get behind that for a few minutes or so.
"Close your eyes, y/n" he instructed in a soft voice. You were shrouded in a soothing darkness.
"Now, is there anything that could be bothering you at this present moment? The key to meditation is to clear your mind of any negative thoughts."
"Well..." Should you tell him? Should he know the secret you've kept since you met him? Would he even... Accept it?
"Yeah, I suppose I do."
"If you'd like to share, you're more than welcome to."
"It's about... Love. I love someone but I'm not prepared to tell them."
"Ah, it's one of those conundrums. Of course, you can keep this being's name anonymous, or you may tell me about them. Maybe if you share your thoughts aloud, we can make peace with the problem."
"Well, this person... He's always been nice to me, ever since the day we met. He's nice to everyone, and I admire that. Somehow, I can't seem to get away from him, as if I'm drawn to him in some way. It sounds silly, I know, but I have a feeling about it... I really don't know if I should tell him how I feel..."
Zbaltazar was slightly surprised by the way you opened up so comfortably. Usually, he had to ease others into sharing such problems, but this was a different matter.
"Well, whoever they are, I think they're lucky to have someone like you think so highly of them. How do you think they would react to such a confession?"
"I-I don't know... I've been through so many scenarios of how it would go in my head, but none seem... Directly negative." Zbaltazar took your hands in his, his cool hands acting as gentle cushions for yours.
"Would you like to tell me who they are?"
You hesitated at this question, but your gut feeling told you to. You couldn't hide it anymore.
"It's... It's you." You responded, feeling such a weight off your shoulders, you felt as if you'd float away. Zbaltazar, contrary to any of your overthought scenarios, still held your hands, gently rubbing the back of them with his thumbs.
"I'm so glad you told me, y/n... Because I feel the same about you."
A smile spread across your face, as you opened your eyes to see him beaming. Suddenly, his hands pulled you in, drawing you into a warm embrace. This was your kind of meditation, in the arms of the one you loved the most...
