It had been months since Clementine and Zbaltazar had reached your village, but they still received endless amounts of love and affection from everyone in town, including you. Ever since they came, the aura of the town changed. It seemed lighter, less heavy with the usual tension of Zurks or any other potential danger. Admittedly, you weren't prone to the change, especially around Zbaltazar. In your mind, he was your free therapy. In his, he was a guide to a healthier and more tranquil state of mind. I suppose that was how he liked it.

Every day, you woke up to a fresh new morning, the gentle candlelight enveloping you in a warm glow of serenity. Of course, you also awoke to the motionless figure in front of you. Thus began the daily task of plugging him in and listening to his wise words for hours and hours, while you casually sip a cup of homemade lavender tea.

Click-!

Thus comes the whirring of the old televisions and their sputtering circuits. The reminder that life takes time to boot up something, but in the end, it was worth the wait. You sat down in front of them, watching the screens flicker to a dim light, Similar to the orange gleam of the candles.

With a long silence, Zbaltazar finally woke up, blinking rapidly.
"Ah... My y/n, what a pleasure it is to see you again."

"The pleasure's all mine, Zbalt." You beamed, earning a small chuckle from him.

"Anything in particular you'd like me to enlighten you on today, or maybe you can tell me something you'd like to share?"

"well... I have something I'd like to share."

"you have the floor, my dear"

"Well, if you think about light, It came from this massive ball in the sky, right?"

"... correct?"

"-Yeah, but, millions of years later, humans were able to utilize that light. They were able to hold raging hot particles that emit light in their hands like ot was nothing. They used them to add special effects to Stage Plays with music and instruments, and they used to shine these things into the crowd. And also Laser Pointers. Whats the point in them??'

"To entertain the Little Outsider" A little giggle escaped you as he said that.

"Yeah, okay, true. But also, its a beam of light to point at things. We have fingers, why don't we just use them?? I just kinda think that the humans took a massive part of the world for granted."

Zbaltazar smiled softly as he listened intently to your ramblings. They were like music to his ears, if they had any music..

Hours of ramblings passed, and a wave of fatigue rolled over you, making you yawn slightly. Setting down your cup, you blew out a few candles and set them out of your path to make way. His arm creaked and groaned as you lifted it, but it felt oddly comforting on your back as you snuggled into his side.

"Is the little y/n tired?" You nodded slowly, earning a gentle 'aww' from the television screens.

You were beginning to drift off, but you remembered a pivotal part of what you were finally going do today.

"Hey, Zbaltazar..?"

"Yes, my dear y/n?"

"I... I love you.."

A soft blush dusted the screens, but a warm smile accompanied it.
"I love you too, y/n"

Soon enough, you were the happiest person alive, snoozing in your lovers arms.

"Ah... Maybe I can stay up tonight.."
