Aahhh... It feels good to be writing again. I've completely forgotten who requested this, but whoever it was, I'm sorry it took me months to write. I hope its good enough.

Knock.
Knock.
Your eyes shot open, genuinely spooked by the door. No-ones talked to you in years, let alone taken time out of their 'lives' to visit you. You felt terrible, like a raccoon that decided its next move was to take a hike after falling into a particularly dirty dustbin. With a melancholy expression, you walked to the mirror. Good God, you looked terrible too! The bags under you eyes really showed your age. How long was the incident? Two, maybe 3 years?
Knock know knock
"Is, uhh, anybody home? I'm looking for Y/n L/n." A muffled voice called out from behind the door.
"Coming, I'll be right with you..." You sighed. But, you admitted to yourself, they sounded oddly familiar. Slouching a bit, you made your way to the door and yanked it open.
Greeting you was a companion, which was always a sight to behold, but this one held a little drone. Was that...?
"B/12!!" You cried, ripping the little gadget from the strangers hand.
"Yes, that's me! Or, well... Was me?" The stranger replied. Surprise, you darted your eyes towards his screen. It showed a friendly, welcoming face with a backdrop of Sunny yellow, leaf green and beautiful fruity citrus.
"It's... Really you??" You asked, flabbergasted.
"Yup! With style too! I only just got this body, so I'm not entirely sure how it works, but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. But, as soon as I got it to walk and run, I ran here to come and find you! If you'll accept me back...?"
Without a trace of hesitation, you threw your arms around him, making him almost lose balance. The gentle thrum of the motors in his chest cavity was wonderful to hear.
"Heh... That's a yes?"
"Of course you can come back. To me, you were never gone."
