Momo x reader - Mental Resetting (pt. 2)

The long awaited part 2! Sorry, its probably not great, I've still gotta get back into the whole writing thing. But, I hope you all enjoy!

"Now can we go?? Its  10:45!" You whined

"Oh, alright. We can go now." He said, half yawning. Finally, you got him to go outside, an hour and 15 minutes before the new year. As you'd planned, you were going to go to the bar, get a drink or two, wait for your other friends to arrive and celebrate the new year with everyone you loved around. This year is going to be perfect!

As you two were walking down the streets, you noticed some stalls were being set up, along with a delicious smell. Food? Could we come back in half an hour and get some for everyone?

"Hey, you hungry?" You asked Momo, pointing at the stalls. "They're not open yet, so we can get some stuff to eat when everyone is here, okay?"

"All good in my book. I can hold on for half an hour."

Finally you reached the bar, greeted by an extremely happy Jacob.

"Y/n and Momo!! What a wonderful surprise on this special night! What can I get you two?"

"Just my regular, please. Momo, how about you?"

"I'll have what they're having, thanks." He smiled at you sweetly, making you practically melt. Everything was all going to plan. You grabbed your drinks and sat at the bar, talking to Momo about all the wonderful moments and memories of this year, until...

"Surprise!!!" 5 figures at the door yelled, who you realised was Clementine, Blazer, Zbaltazar, Doc and Seamus.

"You're here!! With... The cat!" A loud meow came from a small furball on the floor, waiting to be picked up. You did so, earning a quiet purr.

"Its 11:15, what are we going to do for 45 minutes?" Clementine questioned.

"Stuff my kind used to do." You said with a mischievous grin. Putting the cat down on the floor, you ordered some more drinks and made your way upstairs with Momo and the rest. Its still going to plan, this is perfect!! Sitting down, you all shared your favourite moments of the year, basically wasting another 15 minutes of the evening.

Finally you all finished your drinks and went outside, smelling the air, to which, fragrances of food and sweets filled your nose. My goodness, it was heavenly.

"Cmon, guys, we said we'd get food.  Plus, we only have half an hour until the new year! Maybe, we can get some other things from here too!"

You sidled up to the food stalls, smelling all the different aromas and flavours again. You noticed one with tons of food, like an all-you-can-eat buffet. You ordered plates for everyone and you all tucked in. Gosh, it tasted divine, like you'd just tasted food fit for a deity. Once you all finished, ot was around 11:45.

"Oh, we gotta get going, theres only 15 minutes left. Maybe we can head up to the other stalls?" They all nodded in agreement and followed you to the next stalls. The next ones you visited were sweets and trinkets, so you bought some for Momo.

Finally, it was the last minute. You anxiously watched your clock, waiting for time to tick down to 0.

Boom!!

Fireworks blasted into the sky, illuminating the streets below.

"Happy new year, Momo."

"Happy new year to you too, Y/n."

You two leaned in to kiss each other for the first kiss of the year.

It had all gone to plan!
