《Position: Manipulation 》

Similar to Jeonghan, The8 worked as a host at a famous casino, walking around refilling these rich peoples empty glasses. Slipping them words of advice on what card to play.

And when that person would walk out dripping in cash, they made sure to leave The8 a heaping tip.

"Well well well The8, you've done it again." The head bartender said as she slid all of The8's tips into one overfilling envelope. Almost $900 in one shift.

"It was lower than normal." The8 said as he spun the glass of wine around in the crystal cup. Ofcourse he wasn't going to complain to much, money was still money in his family.

"You have got to tell us your secrets. How can you predict theses games so well?" She asked as The8 shrugged.

"A magician never reveals his secrets." The8 smiled as he finished his cup of wine and wished the rest of the staff a goodnight.

As he walked home he couldn't help but take in the beautiful city lights around him knowing he would never be table to see them during the day.

The walk took an hour,
His grandmother, who he lived with was fast asleep in their small one bedroom house. "Night Waipo (Grandmother)" The8 smiled as he kissed her forehead.

He took a sleeping pill and began to change into his pajams as soon as the effect started to kick in. Not wanting to wake up his grandmother, he decided to sleep on the couch in the next room.

The next morning his grandmother shook him awake, it was 8am and The8 had more work to do.

Every morning he would catch a ride in the back of a truck with the others in his neighborhood, there began the drive out to the local restaurant.

His grandmother used to work there but now that's she's become too old, The8 offered to help in her place.

This is how he lived his life, a never ending cycle. He did it for his grandmother, he wanted to support her for the rest of his life.

It was when The8 was at the casino that a boy with red hair leaned against the bar where The8 was pouring drinks.

"One for me?" The red head asked with innocent doe eyes that would normally fool anyone else, but The8 was more focused on the black uniform here.

"Nice uniform honey." The8 rolled his eyes as he took his drink tray and walked over to his table, watching the men gamble their money away like it was pebbles.

"Say sweetheart. What card should I put down?" A regular whispered as The8 set down his cup of wine.

"That bottle of wine is an Ace of its kind." The8 said with a wink as the man flashed him a smile and placed his card down on the table.

And as expected, the man won, and it was a total of $100,000 and he made sure to leave The8 a tip of $200.

It was another successful night.

As he was walking into his neighborhood, his heartbeat spead up as he saw a man standing on of the steps oh his help.

"Can I help you sir?" The8 asked nervously, praying his grandmother was safe.

"Actually yes, you can. Come with me." The male said walking down the stairs, past The8.

"I can't, I have my grandmother inside and-" The8 was cut off by the male placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't make this difficult Minghao, come with me, and she stays safe." The male said seriously as The8 looked at him in fear, no one hardly called him by his full name.

So The8 climbed into his car, seeing the red haired boy from the bar in the passenger seat. "Meet Charmer, your new partner." The male smiled.

"Am I going to get an explanation on why you need me here?" The8 asked.

"Every team needs more than one manipulator." Charmer said.
